*IMPORTANCE OF EARLY PREGNANCY SCAN*

Early pregnancy scan is one of the mostimportant ultrasound scans in pregnancybecause it confirms the pregnancy and verifies the fetus is developing as expected. It can be repeated after a couple of weeks, in order to follow the typical development of your baby and to check if the heartbeat is audible and regular.
The first scan is important for the following reasons:

TUBERCULOSIS

Tuberculosis (TB) is caused by a bacterium called Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The bacteria usually attack the lungs, but TB bacteria can attack any part of the body such as the kidney, spine, and brain. Not everyone infected with TB bacteria becomes sick.

HOW DO TB SYMPTOMS START??
Coughing for three or more weeks. Coughing up blood or mucus. Chest pain, or pain with breathing or coughing. Unintentional weight loss.

What causes tuberculosis?

Tuberculosis (TB) is caused by a bacterium called Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The bacteria usually attack the lungs, but TB bacteria can attack any part of the body such as the kidney, spine, and brain. Not everyone infected with TB shows symptoms.
TB is spread through the air from one person to another. The TB germs are passed through the air when someone who is sick with TB disease coughs, laughs, sings, or sneezes. If you breathe air that has TB germs, you may get TB infection.
