precautions like using air purifiers, regularly washing your bedding, and avoiding whatever sets you off. See a doctor about allergy shots.

8. PRACTICE PROPER EAR CARE

Don't put objects like cotton swabs or hairpins in your ears. They can seriously hurt your ear canal or eardrum. Clean your outer ear with a cloth, but don't insert anything into your ear canal. If you have wax buildup or pain, see a doctor specializing in ear and hearing disorders (an otolaryngologist or otologist).

9. STAY INFORMED ABOUT VACCINATIONS

Specific vaccines can help you prevent infections of the ear, nose, and throat, which are the flu vaccine and pneumococcal vaccine. Advice for you is to get updated with your vaccinations to decrease complications and safeguard your health.

10. CONSULT A SPECIALIST FOR PERSISTENT ISSUES

If you experience persistent symptoms such as a sore throat, hearing loss, or nasal congestion, consult an ENT specialist. Early diagnosis and treatment of sinusitis, ear infections, or tonsillitis can prevent complications and promote faster recovery.

Stay healthy always

TOP 10 TIPS FOR KEEPING YOUR EAR, NOSE, AND THROAT HEALTHY

1. PRACTICE GOOD HYGIENE

Clean hands remain one of the rituals and, at the same time, a reasonable precaution against infections. Always wash your hands with soap and water, mainly before you touch your face or eat anything. Avoid sharing personal items, such as earphones and towels, which may spread germs.

2. STAY HYDRATED

Drinking enough water keeps your mucous membranes moist and functioning correctly, namely in your ear, nose, and throat. Staying hydrated helps to thin out mucus, prevent blockages due to excessive dryness or built-up mucus, and reduce your risk of developing an infection.

3. AVOID LOUD NOISES

Being around too much loud noise—like using headphones with the volume turned up for long periods or being at loud concerts—can cause permanent hearing loss. Protect your ears by using earplugs around loud noises, and turn the volume down on headphones and TVs.

4. QUIT SMOKING

Smoking and exposure to secondhand smoke can irritate and damage the tissues in your throat, increase infection risk, and cause chronic conditions such as laryngitis and throat cancer. Quitting smoking leads to significantly better overall ENT health.

5. MAINTAIN A HEALTHY DIET

A healthy diet of vitamins and minerals helps your immune system do what it does best—and keeps your ENT, head, and neck areas in tip-top shape. Antioxidants in fruits and veggies help prevent tissue damage and lower the risk of infection.

6. PRACTICE SAFE LISTENING HABITS

When using earphones to tune in to music or any other sound, utilize the 60/60 rule, which implies never tuning in at more than 60% of the most significant volume for longer than 60 minutes. This helps prevent noise-induced hearing loss and fatigue triggers in your ears.

7. MANAGE ALLERGIES

Allergies cause inflammation and irritation in the nose and throat, creating discomfort and infections. Find out what you’re allergic.
