Streamlined regional meetings for Continental Validation of the draft Plan of Action of the 3d Decade
of African Traditional Medicine, Research Priority setting for Traditional Medicine, and WHO
Regional Expert Advisory Committee on Traditional Medicine (REACT).
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 1st -6th September 2025
The African Union Commission, Department of Health, Humanitarian Affairs and Social
Development (HHS), in collaboration with WHO is organizing streamlined Traditional Medicine
regional meetings for Continental Validation of the draft Plan of Action of the 3d Decade of African
Traditional Medicine, Research Priority setting, and the WHO Regional Expert Advisory Committee on
Traditional Medicine (REACT).
We have the pleasure of inviting you to the above-mentioned meetings as Presenter. The
meetings will take place at the African Union compound in Addis Ababa from 1% to 6 September 2025.
The general objective of the workshop is to obtain consensus from the African Union Member
States on the draft plan of action of the 3rd decade of the African Traditional Medicine strategy 2025-
2034 and its implementation mechanism.
Please note that you have been identified as a speaker on day one to make a presentation on "
Achievements in integrating traditional medicine into conventional medicine " to share your country
experience.
The general objective of the Research Priority Setting Stakeholders meeting is to prioritize the
research agenda and clarify areas for research on Traditional Medicine for the enhancement of public
health in the African Region./.
