"do you feel as if you’ve been wandering in the desert now for ages and ages and nothing is happening?
🏜️when you conjure up the image of a desert, you picture parched lips, sunburned skin, and mirages- but there is more to it than that.
amid the hot sands are creatures 🐪🐫🌵with resilient spirits, tough skins, and the willingness to burrow deep underground for water so that they may survive.
⏳this is a time of developing survival skills and resilience. you are learning how to conserve your strength, and in this temporary time of austerity, it’s wise to be selective about where you expend your energy.
👂🏽listen to the call of your soul, because it will never lead you astray.
this is an important time for letting go of what’s not important."
🍃 remember to reflect, be true to you, and self Illuminate. ✨

I can't stop noticing the things I'm forgetting. Sometimes I walk into a room and find myself bewildered as to why I am there.

Based on everything we know about the brain, two of the things that are really good for it are physical activity and novelty. Things that are really bad are chronic and perpetual stress.

The stress might not feel like a panic attack or sleepless nights, though it can. Sometimes it feels like nothing at all. It's like a heaviness, like you're waking up to more of THE SAME, and it's never going to change. The anxiety feels like wading through something thicker than water.

There's just so much going on; it's could be stress, it could be grief, it could be boredom, it could be depression. It all sounds grim.

Our brains are very good at learning different things and forgetting the things that are not prioritized.

Someday not too long from now, I will wake up and maybe it won't feel so heavy, I won't have to wonder about what I need to do because I'll be doing it.

❤️Tools that help me❤️
Breathing exercises
Nature walks
Meditation
Physical activities
Talking to someone
Surrendering to and accepting the sh*tiness of it all.

I have been doing 15 mins of yoga practice every day for almost 3 months now and here are the changes I noticed:
1. I can breathe deeper and fuller.
2. My body is becoming slimmer and fitter and dare I say more attractive (I'm not doing any exercises other than this one). I can see the most changes on my face, arms and back.
3. I became even more in love with my body. I feel stronger and move through poses more gracefully.
4. My voice has more depth to it when I speak, probably thanks to the changes in my breathing. This is actually an awesome thing for a singer like me!
5. My experience this morning: I had a stomach ache due to my overeating last night. After doing the practice, I felt light in my tummy and all the uncomfortable feelings went away.

Only 15 minutes of practice, every day, for 3 months really transformed my body. I initially did it to relieve tension in my body after a whole day of working. Now I'm continuing it because it makes me feel good and more in love with myself.
❤️

What did you learn from this?
1 Start slow
2 Consistency pays
3 Don't compare yourself to other's journey
4 Let your practice have a purpose, how does it make your feel.
