You’ve probably heard it before, “real“ men don’t cry,” or “just be strong and keep quiet.” The idea that men have to be tough, silent, and unshaken is everywhere. But what if that so-called strength is actually holding men back?

When people think of postpartum depression, they usually picture a new mother struggling to adjust after childbirth. But what’s often overlooked is that new fathers can experience it too.

Postpartum depression in men is a real and growing concern, yet it rarely gets the attention it deserves.

Between the sleepless nights, financial pressure, changes in relationships, and the overwhelming responsibility of caring for a new life, many dads silently carry emotional burdens they don't feel allowed to talk about.

Let's shed light on what paternal postpartum depression looks like, why it happens, and why support for fathers is just as important.
