Have you ever noticed how some of the messages we carry about other women aren’t really ours; they were taught to us?

Awareness is the first step to unlearning these beliefs. You can choose connection over comparison, celebration over judgment, and sisterhood over scarcity.

Which of these messages have you caught yourself believing?

Female friendship breakups can hurt deeply and leave you grieving the loss of someone who once felt like home. 💔

Give yourself time to process, reflect on the lessons, release guilt, and make space for healthier connections. Healing takes time, and that’s okay. 🌿

Female friendships are meaningful, but misunderstandings and hurt can happen.

Repairing them often requires honest conversations, empathy, and accountability.

When both people are willing to show up and work through the issues, the friendship can become even stronger. 💛

Some women just show up, in big ways and small.
They listen, celebrate, defend, and lift you without asking for anything in return.💜

This Women’s Month, let’s honor them.
Tag the women in your life who always show up and let them know their presence matters.

Because appreciation is love in action.🫶🏽

Happy International Women’s Day 💜

Today, we celebrate the strength, courage, and resilience of women everywhere, but we also want to take a moment to appreciate something deeply powerful: female friendships.

The women who listen, support, and remind us we are not alone can make a profound difference to our mental and emotional wellbeing.

At NDIDI, we see every day how connection and community help women feel seen, supported, and less alone. When women show up for one another, with empathy, honesty, and care; we create spaces where healing and growth become possible.

Here’s to the friendships that uplift us and the women who stand beside us, today and always. 💜

March is not just about celebrating women.
It’s about showing up for them.

Sometimes the women in your life don’t need grand gestures, they need consistency, safety, and small acts of care.

Here's how you can show up for the women in your life this Month 👆🏽

Women are not born competing with one another, competition is often learned.

From scarcity messaging to internalized societal norms, many of us are taught to measure our worth against other women instead of connecting with them.

But competition should not have to define us. When safety, support, and community are present, comparison softens into collaboration, and rivalry becomes sisterhood.

A girl’s girl understands that many women particularly in Africa were conditioned to see each other as rivals, for opportunities, approval, safety.

Instead of acting from that conditioning, she pauses. She unlearns. She chooses community.

Now, ask yourself. Are you a girl’s girl?

Drop a comment with your answer.
