We are delighted to share the historic news that the Federal Government of Nigeria has formally approved the establishment of Jimoh Babalola University, Ilorin, following the Federal Executive Council meeting held on Wednesday, 13 August 2025. This momentous development marks a significant milestone in our collective journey toward education and excellence.

In a formal announcement, the Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, confirmed the approval of nine new private universities, including Jimoh Babalola University, Ilorin, Kwara State . Additional coverage by Punch, Daily Post, Pulse, ThisDay, and Legit.ng further affirmed this announcement .
