Things are very expensive and feeding cost which is essential takes a greater share without considerations. But a Dietitian out there is telling us to eat healthy to avoid diet-related diseases, how is it possible?, is the Dietitian living in today's Nigeria realities?
To be honest, what we actually do in the name of feeding is overfeeding which is indirectly fueling the cost of feeding and also takes a turn on us psychologically regarding healthy eating. If a calorie estimation is carried out, the statistics will show that we are actually consuming times 3 per meal above what we should consume as individuals and we consume the wrong diet alongside.
A practical example is; a person who consumes buns of 400 naira in the name of quenching hunger has spend extra 100 naira with wrong diet plus impossible mission compare to another who consumes date palm (dabino) 200 naira and tiger nut (aki-hausa) of 100 naira.
