I am writing this letter with a heart full of gratitude and appreciation. I, Fakorede Adebowale, extend my sincerest thanks to our esteemed Global President, Otunba Bolaji Amusan JP, and the entire national executive team for their unwavering support and encouragement during the recently concluded TGD election.

I am deeply honored to have received your blessings and the trust placed in me to serve our prestigious guild. Your guidance and mentorship have been invaluable, and I pledge to uphold the values and mission of the Tampan Guild of Directors (TGD), ensuring that our collective vision for excellence is realized.

To my fellow TGD members, I am overwhelmed by your support, friendship, and incredible show of unity throughout the election process. Your belief in me is truly humbling, and I am excited to work alongside each one of you to create impactful progress and to strengthen our guild’s presence both locally and internationally.

Finally, I extend my heartfelt thanks to every member of TAMPAN across Nigeria and around the world. Your solidarity, encouragement, and commitment to our association are what make TAMPAN strong and resilient. Together, we shall continue to celebrate our culture, promote creativity, and advance the cause of the Nigerian film industry.

As we embark on this journey, I look forward to working closely with our leaders and fellow members to achieve new heights for TGD and TAMPAN. Thank you once again for the trust and love. Let us continue to work together in unity, striving to leave a legacy that will inspire future generations.

Yours sincerely,

**Fakorede Adebowale

Dear ASPDN Members,
Courage is often misunderstood. Many believe that being courageous means not feeling fear at all, but that couldn't be further from the truth. True courage is not about the absence of fear; rather, it is about recognizing your fears and still choosing to push forward. It's about confronting challenges head-on, even when the path ahead is uncertain.
Every one of us faces fears in our journey—whether it's the fear of the unknown, the fear of failure, or even the fear of not being enough. But what defines us is not our fears, but how we respond to them. Courage is about taking that first step, no matter how scared you may be. It's about moving forward even when every part of you wants to retreat.
Remember, it's okay to feel afraid. It's a natural part of the human experience. But don't let that fear stop you from achieving your goals or standing up for what you believe in. Each time you face your fears, you grow stronger, more resilient, and more capable.
So, whenever you feel fear creeping in, remind yourself that courage isn't about being fearless. It's about being brave enough to continue despite your fears. Keep going, keep pushing, and keep believing in your strength. You're capable of more than you know, and every step forward is a victory in itself.
Let's continue to support each other, sharing our stories of courage, and empowering one another to move forward with determination, no matter what challenges lie ahead. Together, we can face anything.
With strength and unity,
AKOREDE ADEBOWALE OBJ

WHAT EVERY EMPLOYER MUST HAVE AT THE BACK OF THEIR MIND

⛑ *First Aid*
*First aid is an essential part of health and safety compliance. As an employer, you are required to provide, so far as is reasonably practicable, a safe working environment and adequate facilities for the welfare of employees. This includes having appropriate first aid measures in place, including first aid kits and suitably trained first aid officers.

When deciding what first aid arrangements are appropriate for your situation, you should carry out a thorough risk assessment of your workplace, taking into account workplace activities and hazards*.

When conducting your risk assessment, think about:

the type of work you do and safety issues involved;
the size and location of your workplace, including things like distances between work areas, and accessibility for emergency services;
the usual number of people at the workplace, including workers, contractors, subcontractors, volunteers, and visitors.
Through this process, it should become clear what first aid arrangements you need to have in place.

*The Top 5 First Aid Tips & Tricks*

First aid tip 1:

Direct pressure stops bleeding

Serious bleeding from a major blood vessel is a life-threatening emergency.

The best way to stop severe bleeding to apply firm, direct pressure directly over the bleeding wound.

First aid tip 2:

Anyone can use a defibrillator

Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) deliver an electrical shock to help victims of Sudden Cardiac Arrest. A cardiac arrest occurs when the heart stops beating due to a problem with the electrical activity.

AEDs can be found in many public places – shops, railway stations, airports, gyms, schools, colleges etc.

An AED is designed to be used by anyone! They are fully automated and have voice prompts to help bystanders use the device.

First aid tip 3:

Nosebleeds – forwards not back!

The best way to stop a nosebleed is to pinch the soft part of the nose for a minimum of 10 minutes and learn forwards not back!

First aid tip 4:

Water for burns

Cooling a burn quickly is vital to prevent further damage to tissue. The best way to cool a burn is running water! Putting anything else on a burn (such as butter, toothpaste etc.) will not be as effective in removing heat and stopping the burning process.

First aid tip 5:

Chest compressions rule

The most important component of CPR is high quality chest compressions. If you are unable or unwilling to do rescue breathing (“the kiss of life”) then don’t! Instead to continuous chest compressions until further medical help arrives.

St George's Ambulance Foundation is a non-governmental organisation whose main aim is delivering emergency first aid treatment to accident victims in Nigeria.
It is a non-charitable organisation which provides immediate rescue treatment to road and accident victims before they are conveyed to the hospital for further medical treatment.
The mantra for this organisation is to "save lives" and this is done irrespective of religious affiliations or tribal lines. With an effective system in place, the organisation carries out it's work across the country.
