*Staff Induction/Orientation Programme at AMTDI Jalingo*
The Advanced Manufacturing Technology Development Institute (AMTDI), Jalingo, organized a Staff Induction and Orientation Programme on Wednesday, 5th March 2026, at the Institute’s Conference Hall. The programme was conducted in line with the new system-wide direction of National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), aimed at strengthening staff understanding of the Agency’s renewed focus on innovation, productivity, and institutional development.
The orientation was designed to acquaint staff with the evolving operational direction of NASENI, particularly in alignment with the Strategic Launchpad and the Executive Vice Chairman’s 3C policy direction. It also provided guidance on the new approach to advancing the Agency’s mandate in research, development, and technological innovation. During the programme, the AMTDI Strategic, Operational, and Action Plans were also unveiled.
Three key papers were presented during the orientation. The first paper was delivered by the Overseeing Officer of the Institute, Abdulrahman Barkindo Bawuro, titled “A Strategic Brand: An Overview of NASENI’s Mandate, Vision, Mission, and Strategies.” In his presentation, he provided a comprehensive overview of NASENI and AMTDI’s mandate and strategic direction, highlighting the Agency’s renewed emphasis on research and development in line with the EVC’s 3C policy framework and the four NASENI pillars outlined in the Strategic Launchpad.
The Head of Administration and Human Resources, Sadiq Mohammed Tukur, presented a paper titled “NASENI’s Code of Conduct and Workplace Behaviour,” where he emphasized the importance of professionalism, discipline, and adherence to institutional standards among staff.
The third presentation was delivered by the Head of Accounts and Finance, Lukman Tijjani Komolafe, on the topic “Understanding Financial Regulations, Procedures, and Financial Management.” His presentation highlighted the importance of compliance with financial regulations and prudent management of institutional resources.

In his closing remarks, the Overseeing Officer appreciated the facilitators and organizers for successfully conducting the induction and orientation programme, noting that it provided staff with the necessary knowledge of the Institute’s structure, mandate, and operational processes. He further emphasized the importance of discipline, integrity, and collaboration in achieving the mandate of both NASENI and AMTDI, and congratulated all participants on the successful completion of the programme.
The event concluded with a group photograph, marking the successful conduct of the orientation programme.
