Hepatitis is preventable. Hepatitis is treatable. But people are still dying.

Left untreated, hepatitis can progress to liver cancer when it is no longer curable. Treatment is expensive, and many cannot afford it. That is why this World Hepatitis Day, ISMPH joins partners across Nigeria and around the world to raise awareness and demand urgent action.

We are working to:
✅ Expand access to testing and treatment
✅ Eliminate stigma around hepatitis
✅ Advocate for stronger national policies and health insurance coverage

No one should die from a disease we can prevent. Health equity starts with hepatitis elimination

This week we attended the Africa Primary Health Care Forum in Abuja, a transformative event dedicated to strengthening primary health care (PHC) systems across the African continent. The forum brought together stakeholders to address critical challenges and identify innovative solutions for enhancing PHC delivery throughout Africa.

Our Executive Director served as a panelist on "Leveraging Community-Based Innovation to Address Equity and Access in Health Systems." She highlighted key challenges facing primary health care delivery today and emphasized the critical importance of meaningful collaboration with communities to improve health care outcomes.

This forum provided an invaluable opportunity to learn from our collective experiences and contribute to evidence-based strategies for strengthening health care delivery at PHC facilities across the continent.
