🌱 The Tale of Two Seeds
Long ago, in a quiet village surrounded by hills, a farmer walked to his field with two precious seeds. He dug the soil gently, placed them side by side, and covered them with the same earth. Both seeds lay hidden in darkness, waiting for their chance to live.
The first seed whispered, “It’s too dark here. The weight of this soil is too heavy. I was made for the light, not this prison. I will stay still until life becomes easier.”
So it remained buried, afraid to move, afraid to push. Seasons passed, and in its silence, the little seed slowly decayed.
But the second seed thought differently. Though it felt the same darkness and heaviness, it said within itself, “If this is where I have been placed, then this must be the beginning, not the end. Perhaps the struggle is my path to the light.”
So day after day, it stretched, pushing against the hard soil, breaking small stones, reaching higher. Rain fell, winds blew, and sometimes it almost gave up. But it remembered its own words: “This struggle is my path.”
One morning, after many days unseen, a small green shoot broke through the surface. The sun smiled on it. The breeze danced with it. What once was buried in darkness now stretched towards the sky.
Years later, that seed had become a great tree. Birds built their nests in its branches, travelers rested in its shade, children played beneath it, and the farmer who planted it smiled with pride.
And the other seed? The villagers never saw it, for it had chosen fear over growth.
Moral: In life, we all begin in the same soil of challenges. Some choose to remain buried, waiting for ease that never comes. Others embrace the struggle, break through, and rise into their purpose. Growth always begins in the dark. 🌱
