You can also donate Blood at St Louis Catholic Hospital; 1043 Oke Ogun Street, Owo, Ondo State.

Relatives and associates of Victims can also access blood by contacting the National Blood Service Commission, Benin @ +23-480-7900-8443.

Please blood units are urgently needed to help save lives of the victims of this unfortunate incident.

Many are in critical condition, including children, we can play our part to make sure the death toll does not rise

World Blood Donor Day

Every year, countries around the world celebrate World Blood Donor Day (WBDD). The event serves to raise awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products and to thank voluntary, unpaid blood donors for their life-saving gifts of blood.

It is held on June 14 each year. The event was organised for the first time in 2005, by a joint initiative of the World Health Organization, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.

It's a day to celebrate , , and the special Gift of Life.

Placenta previa is an condition that occurs when a baby's placenta partially or totally covers the outlet of the uterus.

The main symptom is bright red vaginal bleeding in the second-half of pregnancy, it also causes bleeding during delivery.

If not managed properly, it can be fatal, and it's a major cause of pregnancy related deaths amongst Nigerian women.
