Stage 1: Embracing Singlehood
"For everything, there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven." - Ecclesiastes 3:1
The season of singlehood is a precious time to focus on oneself, build a relationship with God, and discover one's purpose. 🙏🏼 A MIRACULOUS ESCAPE FROM TERRORIST ATTACK 🙏🏼

I want to share with you a testimony of God's incredible protection and deliverance in the face of danger. As you are aware, I came back to Nigeria last week after been away for 11 yrs, serving as a missionary in Kenya. Unfortunately, I came into the midst of a religious and political crisis in my home town Mangu.
Two nights ago while I was with my Mum at Sabon Gari, between 10 to 11:30 pm, we were abruptly awakened by the terrifying sound of gunshots echoing through the night. Confusion overwhelmed me, and I immediately reached out to my dear mother, who had no knowledge of what was happening.

In desperation, I called her pastor, seeking guidance and comfort. His response sent shivers down my spine as he informed me that we were under attack by Fulani terrorists. The initial wave of fear threatened to paralyze me, but then, the Word of God resounded within my heart, igniting a flame of faith.

I reached out to the pastors I knew and requested their fervent prayers for us and for the entire land of Sabon Gari, Mangu. Beloved, prayer is a powerful weapon, and I can testify that in that moment, it became our lifeline. The terrorists were ominously standing in front of our family compound, poised to invade our sanctuary of peace. My mother alerted me that it was them shooting, with some wielding AK-45 rifles.

But in that critical moment, something astounding occurred—a divine intervention that can only be attributed to the mighty hand of God. He blinded the eyes of our attackers, causing them to turn away from our house. Instead, they proceeded to burn down a house opposite ours and four others nearby, claiming the lives of twelve innocent people.

Throughout that harrowing night, sleep evaded us, for the sound of gunshots seemed to encroach upon our very windows. Yet, even in the midst of the chaos and uncertainty, we held on to our unwavering trust in the Lord. The Bible tells us in Isaiah 41:10 (NIV): "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

God's hand was undeniably at work, shielding us from harm and providing a way of escape when it seemed impossible. We are humbled and grateful beyond words for His miraculous intervention. Our hearts ache for those who lost their lives and for the pain that lingers in our community. Let us continue to lift them up in prayer, asking for healing, comfort, and strength in their darkest hours.

Today, I stand before you as a living testament to the power of prayer and the faithfulness of our God. Let us never underestimate the importance of turning to Him in times of trouble, for He is our refuge and strength. May this testimony serve as a reminder that even in the face of unimaginable adversity, our God is mighty to save and protect.

Psalm 91:1-2 (NIV) says, "Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.'"

Thank you for your unwavering support, encouragement, and prayers during this challenging time. Let us continue to seek the face of God, trusting Him to bring healing, restoration, and peace to our land. The governor has imposed a 24hrs curfew and peace is returning to our community.
