The wife of the Executive Governor of Kaduna State,joined Her Excellency, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu CON The First Lady,Federal Republic of Nigeria,for the Official Flag off and Launching of Renewed Hopes Initiative Women Economic Empowerment Programme for Petty Traders RHI WEEP) at Umaru Musa Yar'Adua Hall,Murtala Muhammad Square, Kaduna.
Her. Excellency the Wife of the Kaduna State Governor,represented by the Hon. Commissioner of Finance,Kaduna State,Hon. Shiza Bada, welcome Sen.Oluremi Tinubu and her entourage to Kaduna State for the 1000 Women Economic Empowerment Programme for petty traders.She also commend the tremendous effort of the First lady, H.E Sen. Oluremi Tinubu CON, through RHI and the positive impacts it has on youth and women of Kaduna State and Nigeria.
His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani The Executive Governor of Kaduna State who was represented by The Chief of Staff ,Dr. Sani Liman Kila,described the RHI as a positive initiative that has great impact on the people of Kaduna State in areas of
educational support, economic empowerment and women agricultural initiative.
Her Excellency, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu CON. First lady, Federal Republic of Nigeria,represented by the wife of the Deputy Senate President,
Haj. Laila Jibril Barau Maliya ,was accompanied by the wife of the Hon. Minister of State Defence, wife of the Hon. Minister State Agriculture and Food Security,Wife of Hon. Bichi Chairman, House Committee on Appropriations , Wife of Hon. Akeem Adeyemi.
H.E.Sen.Oluremi Tinubu,First Lady,Federal Republic of Nigeria message at the occasion;
"Today, through the Renewed Hope Initiative Economic Empowerment Programme, we are providing 1,000 pre-selected women petty traders per state with a grant of N50,000 each to recapitalize and grow their businesses.
A total of One Billion, Eight Hundred and Fifty Million Naira (N1,850,0000,000.00) will be disbursed to 37,000 across the nation and
Fifty Million Naira (50,000.000.00) to 1000 for the Kaduna State women petty traders.
The grants provided today is to assist our women petty traders in overcoming some of their business challenges, expand their businesses, create more jobs, and contribute more robustly to our economy.
"To the 1000 women petty traders who are the beneficiaries of this programme,
I say,
“You are the heart of our local economies, the foundation of our communities, and the unsung heroes of our nation. You have shown incredible resilience in overcoming countless challenges to build your businesses.
"Let us all continue to work together to build a Nigeria where every woman has the opportunity to succeed, where every small business can grow and contribute to our nation's prosperity.
"I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all our RHI State Coordinators and First Ladies of States, and everyone involved in making this programme a reality, particularly, their efforts in identifying the traders. This is really commendable.
Let us all continue to work together to build a Nigeria where every woman has the opportunity to succeed, where every small business can grow and contribute to our nation's prosperity.

All the beneficiaries are from the grass root level, that cut across the 255 wards in the 23 local government areas of Kaduna state.
