Recently visited the Livestock Research Station at Lam, Gorantla (Guntur), which focuses on the renowned Ongole and Nellore breeds. The visit was highly enriching, offering a closer look at the station’s significant role in livestock development and breed improvement.

The facility is actively engaged in capacity building for farmers, training them in modern dairy and livestock management practices. It also has well-established infrastructure for advanced reproductive technologies, including artificial insemination and embryo transplantation, aimed at improving genetic quality and productivity of indigenous breeds.

It was impressive to see how the station combines research, field application, and farmer outreach to strengthen the livestock sector. Such institutions play a crucial role in preserving elite breeds while enhancing the livelihoods of farmers through scientific interventions.

Grateful to His Excellency Abhishek Singh for giving me the opportunity to represent the Kaduna Indian Community and speak in my personal capacity as Founder of Naturell Dairy at the Youth Junction on 13th March, sharing insights on India–Nigeria bilateral relations, youth collaboration, and the exchange of ideas and innovative technologies between the two countries.

A delegation from the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) India/Amul team, Naturell team and officials from the Jigawa State Ministry of Livestock Development, paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency Umar Namadi, the Executive Governor of Jigawa State.

During the meeting, NDDB assured the Governor of its commitment to support the livestock transformation initiatives in Jigawa State. The collaboration will focus on working together with Naturell and the Jigawa State Government to strengthen the dairy sector through improved milk production, farmer capacity building, and development of a sustainable dairy value chain in the state. The National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), /amul india India scooping mission, together with the Jigawa State Ministry of Livestock Development, led by the Honourable Commissioner Prof. Abdurrahman Salim Lawal and his team, visited several livestock and dairy locations across Jigawa State.

During the visit, the delegation interacted with dairy farmers, Fulani pastoralists, and herdsmen settlements, and observed traditional livestock management systems. The team also visited major cattle markets and toured the Jigawa Livestock Investigation and Breeding Station to understand ongoing breeding, animal health, and livestock development initiatives in the state.

This mission aligns with the livestock transformation vision of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Jigawa State, Dr Umar Namadi, whose administration is committed to transforming the livestock sector to improve productivity, create jobs, and enhance the livelihoods of pastoralists and rural communities across the state.

The team from the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) / Amul India has arrived in Jigawa State for a scoping mission. This visit is part of the initiative under the leadership of His Excellency Dr Umar Namadi to explore a partnership with Naturell-Feredo Agro, and BioFarms Limited.

During the visit, the team toured the cattle and milk markets in Hadejia and Gujungu to understand the local dairy ecosystem.

Today, we had the pleasure of hosting young talents from Danbo International School at our dairy facility. The students visited as part of an educational tour to learn more about milk, dairy farming, and milk products.

It was a wonderful opportunity to introduce them to the journey of milk — from the farm to the final products we enjoy every day. Their curiosity and enthusiasm made the visit both engaging and inspiring.
