THIS HARMATTAN SEASON

We all can testify that harmattan season is not a friendly one for us (Warriors)it triggers virtually all forms of crisis and painful episodes including what we think as minor issues like sore throat, frequent sneezing, headache, sputum in saliva because of catarrh,cold which overtime advance to cough.
Nevertheless, there are ways or forms of management for this season,They include:

1.If you must go out,dress in warm clothes even if you are making a short journey be sure to free in lots of layers.Layers works better than a single thick item because air is trapped in them thereby keeping you warm.Also look after exposed areas like head,hands and foot.wear gloves,hats and appropriate footwears before leaving the house.

2.Moisturise your skin.Harmattan can be harsh on the skin if not properly managed,it makes one look dull, tired and older.Heavy wind during cold weather can remove the UV
filtering lipids from the skin and accelerate sunburn,this is why it is important to use creams that block sun's UV Rays.

3.Eat hot food.Hot food is the best answer to cold weather.It doesn't only warm you up but fills your stomach.it will ensure the bacteria and virus do not thrive in the belly.

4.Keep a lip balm in your pocket,car, handbag etc for constant application.

5.Stay hydrated by taking lots of water

6.Wash your eyes regularly to avoid red eyes which is common during harmattan.
