Today, we celebrate the strength, compassion, resilience, and sacrifices of mothers across our communities and around the world.

Mothers play a vital role in nurturing healthier families, supporting communities, and shaping future generations. Their care, courage, and dedication remain at the heart of stronger and more dignified societies.

At Aidova Foundation, we recognize and appreciate the invaluable contributions of mothers — especially those who continue to support their families despite social, economic, and health challenges.

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers and caregivers.

African Vaccination Week 2026
Immunization for All is Humanly Possible

Vaccination remains one of the most effective public health interventions, preventing millions of deaths each year and protecting communities from avoidable disease outbreaks.

As emphasized by UNICEF Nigeria:
“Vaccines save lives. In the last 50 years, vaccines have saved 154 million lives.”

Despite this progress, gaps in access and coverage persist—particularly among underserved and hard-to-reach populations.

At Aidova Foundation, our focus is on strengthening community-level awareness, supporting primary healthcare systems, and promoting equitable access to routine immunization services. We recognize that improving coverage requires not only availability of vaccines, but also trust, information, and effective community engagement.

During African Vaccination Week, we reaffirm the importance of:

- Reaching zero-dose and missed children
- Strengthening routine immunization systems
- Promoting timely uptake of vaccines
- Supporting community-informed approaches to healthcare delivery

Sustained collaboration between communities, health systems, and partners remains essential to ensuring that no child is left behind.

How well do you understand the importance of immunization?

As we mark World Immunization Week 2026 under the theme “For every generation, vaccines work,” it is important to address some common misconceptions that continue to affect vaccine uptake.

Myths vs Facts About Immunization

Myth 1: Vaccines are only for children
Fact: Vaccination is important at every stage of life. From infancy to adulthood, vaccines protect individuals and communities from serious diseases.

Myth 2: Vaccine-preventable diseases are no longer a threat
Fact: Diseases such as Polio and measles still pose risks, particularly in communities with low immunization coverage.

Myth 3: Vaccines are not safe
Fact: Vaccines undergo rigorous testing and continuous monitoring to ensure they are safe and effective for public use.

Myth 4: Natural immunity is better than vaccination
Fact: While natural infection can lead to immunity, it often comes with serious health risks. Vaccines provide a safe and controlled way to build protection.

At Aidova Foundation, we are committed to supporting awareness, strengthening community engagement, and promoting equitable access to life-saving vaccines. Immunization remains one of the most effective public health interventions—saving millions of lives every year.

Closing the gap in vaccine access requires collective action. By staying informed, addressing misinformation, and encouraging uptake, we can protect every generation.

Take action today:
Stay informed. Advocate for immunization. Ensure you and your community are up to date with recommended vaccines.

World Malaria Day 2026
“Driven to End Malaria: Now We Can. Now We Must.”

Malaria remains one of the most significant public health challenges in Nigeria. The country continues to account for a substantial share of the global burden, with millions of cases recorded annually.

In the North-West region, the situation is particularly concerning. Recent data shows high prevalence among children, with some states reporting rates as high as 49%. Seasonal transmission, especially following the rainy period, places additional pressure on already stretched health systems.

Despite these challenges, malaria is preventable and treatable.

At Aidova Foundation, we emphasize practical, community-level actions that can reduce risk and save lives:

- Consistent use of insecticide-treated nets
- Early testing and prompt treatment at health facilities
- Environmental sanitation to eliminate mosquito breeding sites
- Increased community awareness and timely care-seeking

Progress depends on sustained collaboration between communities, health workers, and partners. Strengthening primary healthcare systems and improving access to prevention and treatment services remain critical.

On this World Malaria Day, we reaffirm the importance of collective action to reduce the burden of malaria and protect vulnerable populations across Northern Nigeria.

African Vaccination Week 2026
“Vaccines Save Lives. Every Child Matters.”

Vaccination is one of the most powerful and cost-effective public health interventions in history.

As highlighted by UNICEF:

> “Vaccines save lives. In the last 50 years alone, vaccines have saved 154 million lives.”

Yet millions of children—especially in underserved communities—are still missing out on life-saving vaccines.

At Aidova Foundation, we believe:
Every child deserves protection
Every community deserves access
No one should be left behind

💉 Immunization protects not just individuals—but entire communities.
💙 It prevents outbreaks.
🌱 It secures healthier futures.

📍 Across North-West Nigeria, we are committed to:

Strengthening routine immunization systems
Supporting zero-dose and missed children
Promoting community awareness and trust

This week, we call on:
Health workers
Government
Partners
Communities

👉 Let’s work together to ensure every child is reached.

For too long, vaccine delivery in many settings has relied on a “ship and hope” approach—sending life-saving vaccines into communities without full visibility of what happens along the way.

But in public health, hope is not enough—data matters.

When vaccines fall outside the recommended temperature range, the impact is often invisible but serious. Children may receive doses that are less effective, leaving them unprotected.

At Aidova Foundation, we recognize that strong systems are as important as access.

From strengthening community awareness to supporting reliable last-mile delivery and accountability, improving immunization outcomes requires:

• Better monitoring and data use
• Stronger community–facility linkages
• Increased confidence in the quality of services delivered

Innovations in real-time tracking and cold chain monitoring are transforming how vaccines are delivered—ensuring that every dose administered is safe, effective, and trusted.

Because every child deserves not just vaccination—but effective protection.
