DAY ONE ON LOVE MEDICINE đź’Š
"FAMILY LOVE"

Ok yesterday I posted something about love and said we are going to be having love talk on different areas. Today we will be talking about family love, this love has build some people or destroy some people. What am I talking about 👇
Many grew up in a better family where the love was massive and all through there life they never knew anything called pain, why some never experienced that parental love, some grew up in an abusive home and one thing I know is that your life is as your up bringing.

Let talk about the picture here this are both parents always fighting, I know for sure this will have an effect on the children in one way or the other. Either the boy child become a wife be**er or the female child start getting scared of men or try to learn self defense in case.
One story before I drop the pen 🖊️. I have a friend I met, she was from an Abusive home while growing up and the both parents separated, this made her through out her life she saw men as bully and she wanted to grow too rich in case her husband raised a finger she leaves the marriage or do something to him. It took God to start healing her.
My dear father and mother to be let watch it not to do this to our children. Showing love to them from a tender age build confidence in them and better people in the society. Not building love put fire and make them become something else.

But in everything only one love rule and lead.

Please share your own experience on the comment section to encourage others

LOVE

This is one great topic that is broad and can never be over emphasize.
If I ask what is love now I will get many definition of love and different ideas of love.
Love can be classified in different ways, and in one way or another we have once experienced love, either love of love once, relationship, etc. but we have once experienced love.
But have u thought of one in that state losing love, hmm. The pain of losing that thing you love is more heart broken than losing millions in your account.

When growing up I had this beautiful love going well from my parents not until death snatched it and it was heart broken. So I can tell how it feels losing love. Many never recover from it again. Some there heart was broken by that lady or guy they so much loved and they became a shadow of themselves, never wanted to find love again or react to every little thing in there next relationship because of there first experience.

This week we will be talking about love and on the last day we have an interactive section I pray God help, it might be live. We need to let go and embrace the true love himself.

Join me as I lunch this good episode of Love Medicine.

Drop your comment below 👇 of how you found love and how u loses yours. So we can talk.

We will be using this group for the Love series so pls click and like

A father saw that his 11-year-old son was crying silently. He asked him.

"What's the matter, son?"

The young boy replied.
"My rich classmates mocked, called me son of a gardener. They said that my father lives only on the money he earns from watering and feeding plants for people"

The father paused for a moment, then said.

"Come with me son, let's plant some flowers. It might cheer you up"

He held his hand and walked him to the garden, then he took out some flower seeds, and said.

"Let's carry out an experiment. We will plant two flowers seperately. I will care for one, and you will care for the other. I will water mine with clean water from the lake but you will water yours with dirty water from the pond. We shall see the outcome in the weeks to come"

The son was delighted as he joined his father in planting the flowers. It took them some days to finally germinate the flower seeds. They cared for them respectively and watched them grow.

Later on, the father brought his son to the garden, and said to him.

"Look at the two flowers and tell me your observation"

The boy responded.
"My flower looks better and healthier than yours. How is that even possible when your water is cleaner?"

The father smiled, then said.

"That's because dirty water doesn't stop a plant from growing, rather it serves as organic fertilizer to help it flourish.
You see son, there are some people who put you down in life, mock your dreams, and throw dirt on you.
Always remember that there's nothing wrong with you, it is their ego they have to satisfy.

So, don't let the harsh words from people affect you, instead, let it encourage you into being a better person. And doing so, you will be like the plant and will flourish even in the midst of dirt like negativity and harsh words.

His name is Mikael ekvall

If you look closely you will realise on his laps was covered with FEACES as in sheet as in p**p..

He was infact nicknamed THE P**P MAN...

When he was asked why didn't he stop to clean..he said he will loose time if he quits for once and he will do this again and again...

He was resilient till the end...

What is really distracting your race...what is your excuse...you have the right to stop and clean..yes you have every moral right to stop and clean...but in his case he continued...

If you feel like giving up, read this:

1. This is a Phase.

Tough times are just a phase.
They don't last forever.
Life is a cycle of highs and lows.

Remember, this too shall pass.
You're in the middle of the storm now, but clear skies are ahead. Hold on.

2. You Are Stronger Than You Think.

Never underestimate your resilience.

- You've survived 100% of your bad days.
- Inside you, there is an inner strength.
- Your potential is greater than any problem.

Remember, you're stronger and more capable than you believe.

3. Small Steps Count.

Progress isn't always a leap forward.

Sometimes it's tiny, almost imperceptible steps.

Each step, no matter how small, brings you closer to your goal.

Celebrate every bit of progress. Slow and steady can still win the race. Keep moving forward.

4. Remember Your 'Why'.

Think back to the reasons why you started.

Reconnect with your motivation and your goals.

5. Failure is a Stepping Stone.

It's okay to fall but it's important to rise again.

Every setback brings learning opportunities.

Remember, every great success story involves overcoming obstacles.

Keep going. Your story is being written.

6. Practice Self-Care.

Self-care is essential, especially during tough times.

- Eat nutritious food
- Exercise regularly
- Get adequate sleep
- Connect with loved ones
- Engage in activities that bring joy.

It’s not selfish, it's survival. Your well-being matters.

7. It's Okay to Ask for Help.

Remember, you're not alone in this journey.

- Reach out to friends, family, or professionals
- Open up about your struggles
- Seek support when you need it

Strength isn't just about enduring in silence. It's also knowing when to ask for help.

To my friends and readers,

Fight for yourself. No matter how difficult it becomes, never let yourself give in.

After some time, your spark will eventually return.

You will come out happier, healthier, and wiser.

We are in this together.

The backdrop in girls’ education due to lack of menstrual hygiene in Nigeria should no longer be gender issue, but of national concern.

The National Democracy and Health Survey in 2013 has shown that girls make up 60 per cent of the 110.5 million out-of-school children in Nigeria, and 1 in 10 African girls misses school due to their period, according to UNICEF . In order words, they could miss school for four days or more during which the period lasts, and since they cannot manage their period safely without a good sanitary product, such children are most likely to drop out of school in the long run. Moreso, the hike in menstrual products has left most Nigerian girls and young women with no choice but to use unclean napkins, tissue, leaves, newspapers, or nothing at all, during their menstruation.

The old African proverb says “educate a girl, educate a nation”. To curb this damaging menace caused by period poverty, the Nigerian government should borrow a Leaf from Kenya’s policy which introduced the right to free, sufficient and quality sanitary towels, and basic sanitation facilities for schoolgirls; treating access to sanitary pads as a basic human right. This and the total removal of tax on menstrual products will help to make the girl child stay in school during their monthly flow.

Like Michelle Obama rightly said, when girls are educated, their countries become stronger and more prosperous. It is time to embrace this fact and work towards creating a world where everyone irrespective of gender can thrive without limitations.

I was inside a keke when a guy came in. It was a short ride. Just 50 naira. The keke guy asked him if he had 50 naira and he said, yes.
He got in and we continued.
He got to where he would come down and gave the keke guy #500. The keke guy reminded him that he asked him if he has 50 naira and he said yes.
The guy said he has plenty money and thought 50 naira was in it.
The keke driver obviously had no change. The passenger said he doesn't also have that 500 is the least money he has.
He said it's either the keke driver finds change or he'll leave without paying.
From there, verbal fight started. He was insulting the keke driver like he was right. The keke driver was obviously pained by the whole thing.
The keke driver was trying to find change from his fellow riders and the guy crossed road and left.
That thing pained the keke driver. I saw the pain in his eyes.
We left. At a point I noticed the keke driver was wiping tears off his face.
Haa!
I asked him if he's fine and he said all he wanted from that guy was to at least talk to him in a calm voice that he doesn't have 50 naira and not to insult him.
He said he needed the 50 naira but he can still let go if he talks to him like a human being.
Like, this guy was crying. It was very heartbreaking.
I got home, paid him and also gave him the last 500 on me.
His countenance changed immediately. He was smiling with tears flowing down his eyes.
To you, it's JUST 50 naira. To the next person, it might be all they need to have dinner.
People need kindness. Lots of people are struggling and a simple smile from you is all they need to know that no matter how hard life is to them, there's still love in this world.

Love is the ultimate healing for this world..

Let say no to domestic violence.
15/04/2022

Let say no to domestic violence.

The Nigerian federal law, Violence Against persons (prohibition) Act (VAPP) which was passed to address violence against women defines domestic violence as any act perpetrated on any person in a domestic relationship where such act causes harm or may cause imminent harm to the safety, and health, or well-being of any person.

The forms of domestic violence according to VAPP Act include physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional, verbal and psychological abuse, intimidation, economic abuse, sexual harassment, forceful eviction from a person’s home except on court order, stalking, damage to property, isolation from family and friends, abandonment of children, spouse and other persons, depriving a person of his or her liberty, harmful widowhood practices, harmful traditional practices, spousal battery and others.

Domestic violence is a global problem that has been condemned internationally and nationally through the legal instruments. It is also recognized as a human rights violation. Domestic violence can be suffered by both genders, however, women are at a higher risk of which is more prevalent in Nigeria today.

The Guardian Nigeria on the 27th of February 2021, reported that cases of domestic violence are on the high, especially the spousal battery. According to the report, at least once a week, there is a case of a man beating, maiming or killing his wife, and in some very rare cases, a woman dealing with her husband in like manner.

It is applauding to know that Nigerians in recent times have been able to start a movement on social media calling our pepetrators of domestic violence and encouraging victims to speak up and take actions. This movement has also made victims and surveyors come out to share their stories.

Cases of domestic violence can be highly mitigated if they are not treated as family affairs. Whereas anyone can report cases with evidence, and pepetrators be made to stand a trial against the state. The society, culture and religion must encourage victims of domestic violence to speak up and seek justice.

Did you know that according to World Health Organization (WHO) , diseases such as Cholera, Hepatitis, Malaria, Measles, HIV-1, Tuberculosis, Typhoid, Tetanus, Rotavirus, Yellow Fever, Meningococcal meningitis, Herpes Simplex Virus, Influenza, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Paratyphoid fever, Rabies,
Human papillomavirus (HPV), Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), COVID-19 (corona virus), Schistosomiasis Disease, and many others are preventable through vaccines?

Over the years, immunization has stopped epidemics of once common infectious diseases such as measles, mumps and whooping cough. It has successfully aided the eradication of diseases such as polio and small pox. Infact, vaccination has been proven by to be responsible for the prevention of 4-5 million deaths every year, in all age groups.

To completely eradicate the aforementioned diseases, more sensitization needs to be done at the community and health facility levels to ensure more children are immunised in time. Also, all vaccines should be made available by the government at little or no cost.
