In a city where traffic jams can stretch for hours, Omotosho Tofunmi Omotola is helping move faster β€” one train ride at a time. As one of the country's pioneering female train drivers, she operates the Lagos Blue Line, 's first electrified light rail system, which opened in September 2023.
The Blue Line β€” built by Civil Engineering Construction Corporation β€” runs 13 kilometers through some of Lagos' busiest commercial districts. It has quickly become a lifeline for commuters weary of gridlock, offering a rare guarantee in the city: being on time.

VICTORIA BUS COMPANY LTD. HANDS OVER CAR TO STAFF MEMBER, MR. YUSUF OSHI, FOLLOWING A SUCCESSFUL AUCTION

Victoria Bus Company Ltd. recently hosted a staff auction event, culminating in the handover of its second car to Mr. Yusuf Oshi.

The auction, which featured a company bus valued at N500,000 at the auction, was held on September 27, 2025, and drew enthusiastic participation from staff members vying for the chance to own the vehicle.

Mr. Yusuf, a Group Business Service Officer (GBSO), emerged as the successful bidder, and the ownership handover ceremony took place yesterday.
