The Executive Secretary Nasarawa State Primary Healthcare Development Agency Dr. Muhammad Usman Adis has led his team to administered a Covid-19 booster to Governor Sule at Government house Lafia.

The Governor commended the efforts of Dr. Usman and his team for their commitment towards maintaining the lead in the ongoing mass vaccination exercise in country.

Governor Sule said his administration would not hesitate to render any support to the agency that will make them perform beyond expectations.

Earlier, the Executive Secretary Nasarawa State Primary Healthcare Development Agency Dr. Muhammad Usman Adis applauded the Governor for his unwavering support to the agency.

Dr. Adis assured the Governor that he will continue to discharge his duties effectively for the benefit of the state.

The NAPHDA boss urged stakeholders to emulate the Governor by taking the civid-19 boaster to boost their health status.

NASARAWA STATE IS LEADING THE 36 STATES OF THE FEDERATION IN THE ONGOING COVID-19 MASS VACCINATION EXERCISE

Since the launching of Covid-19 Mass Vaccination Campaign in the country, the Nasarawa State Primary Healthcare Development Agency has continue to put strategies in place to see that all eligible population in Nasarawa State get vaccinated.

The Executive Secretary Nasarawa of the Agency Dr. Muhammad Usman Adis did not rest on his oars in ensuring that he meet the fifty percent target population before the end of January, 2022.

After series of sensitisation and Media campaigns, Dr. Usman Adis mobilized trained health workers to pe*****te nocks and crannies of the state to ensure that even rural dweller have easy access to the vaccine.

Since then, Nasarawa State has clinched the daily-call-in-data chat, leading the 36 states of the federation including the FCT the efforts that was highly commended by the Nasarawa State Government, National Primary Healthcare Development Agency among other stakeholders.

One strategy that really catch that attention of everybody was the meeting between the National leader of Fulani Alhaji Abdullahi Bello Badejo and the subsequent deployment of the COVID-19 vaccine to the cattle markets in Lafia and Keffi local governments respectively.

This strategy of targeting Fulani extraction has really yielded a positive result as over 2000 Fulanis got vaccinated in just two days.

The agency boss noted that arrangements have been concluded to extent COVID-19 vaccination Campaign to market places and worship centers to enable the state give more gap to its counterparts.

Its therefore imperative to support the activities of the agency under Dr. Muhammad Usman Adis by given the health workers all the necessary support in Nasarawa State to enable them discharge their responsibilities effectively.

Dr. FAISAL MEET WITH EXECUTIVE SECRETARIES

As Mass Vaccination exercise commenced across the country, The ED/CEO NPHCDA, Dr. Faisal Shuaib has organised a meeting with the Executive Secretaries of State Primary Health Care Boards under the chairmanship of Dr. Muhammad Usman Adis to discuss on the ongoing COVID-19 Mass Vaccination Campaign (MVC).

During the meeting in Abuja, Chairman Forum of ES, Dr. Muhammad Usman Adis, who is also the Executive Secretary Nasarawa State Primary Healthcare Development Agency applauded Dr. Faisal for the support and guidance rendered to States, just as he appealed to the agency to provide guidelines on COVID-19 vaccination booster dose for eligible Nigerians.

The request that the ED/CEO promised to provide the necessary support and guidance to the states to achieve the goal of vaccinating eligible Nigerians against COVID-19.

The Executive Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Usman Adis has today inaugurated the State Joint Taskforce on COVID-19 Vaccine Accountability.
The JFT team comprises of NAFDAC, ICPC, DSS and partners.
The goal of the JTF is to retain the credibility of the Covid19 Vaccination process by preventing fraudulent practices.
The ES called on all Health Workers involved in COVID19 vaccination to desist from issuing Vaccination cards to unvaccinated clients, because doing so is tantamount to a breach of trust.

NASARAWA STATE GOVERNMENT FLAGGED-OFF NATIONAL IMMUNIZATION PLUS DAYS FOR OCTOBER, 2021

Nasarawa State Government has reassured of continuous collaboration with Federal and state ministries of health, Primary Health Care agencies and development partners to protect children from polio and other preventable vaccine diseases.

Governor Abdullahi Sule restated the commitment at the flag-off of National Immunization Plus Days in Nasarawa State held at Primary Health Care Center Wamba road, AKWANGA local government area.

Flagging off the October 2021 National Immunization Plus Days in the state Governor Abdullahi Sule represented by the state Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe said government will not rest on its oars in ensuring the state maintains the nation's wild polio free status declared in August 2020 by the World Health Organization.

He lauded development partners, national and state health agencies and other critical stakeholders for their collective efforts at achieving the feat, noting that with their continuous support and commitment, the complete eradication of the virus will be sustained.

The Governor sued for improvement in personal hygiene amongst caregivers, calling on community leaders to continue to be at the forefront in protecting the health of children in the society, just as he reminded citizens of the existence of COVID-19 and stressed the need for them to get vaccinated against the virus.

In their separate remarks, Chairman of Akwanga local government council, Emmanuel Lawee and the Chun Mada, Samson Gamu Yare expressed delight over the choice of Akwanga for the flagship, pledging to brace up for the Immunization exercise as well as contribute in improving health services in the locality.

Representative of development partners, Dr. Ebong Idang stressed the need for parents and caregivers to take to their children to nearby health facilities so as to be administered with other antigens that are vital to their health, assuring of unwavering commitment to the success of the Immunization exercise, just as the representative of the Premenent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Dr. Ibrahim Alhassan and the Premenent Secretary, Ministry of Women Affairs, Hajiya Hauwa Aliyu Ogah expressed readiness of their ministries to sustain government efforts at encouraging parents to get their children immunized against the wild polio disease.

In his goodwill message, the Executive Secretary, State Primary Healthcare Development Agency Dr. Usman Adis applauded the state government and the development partners for their support towards improving the health standard of the state people of the state.

He gave assurance that the agency will complement government's effort in maintaining the status of Polio free nation.

Highlight of the flag-off ceremony was the administering of the Oral Polio vaccine to children between the age of zero and five.

*NASARAWA STATE GOVT RECEIVED MODERNA VACCINE*

The Executive Secretary Nasarawa State Primary Healthcare Development Agency Dr. Usman Adis has assured people of the state that the agency will put necessary modalities in place to ensure that people of the state has easy access to the vaccine.

Dr. Adis was speaking shortly after the flagging off of the second phase vaccination of Moderna Vaccine in the state.

He maintained that the state has received over seventy-nine Moderna Vaccine, over seven thousand Astrazeneca vaccine for those who are yet to complete their second dose and aultra-Cool chain equipment for preservation of the vaccine.

Adis noted that with the support the agency is getting from the state government, they will swing into action by sending medical teams to all books and cranies of the state for the second phase vaccination.

He gave resident of the state assurance that the vaccine was examine by NAFDAC officials in the state and was confirmed to be safe and effective.
