Dear parents,
if you have a child with albinism, please be mindful of their screen time. Excessive use of phones or tablets can strain their eyes and potentially worsen vision issues. It's important to stop or limit screen time, especially from birth to age two. Instead, engage them in interactive play and real-world activities to support healthy vision development. Let’s work together to protect their eyes.

Albinism and More
When I have small dark spots on my neck, people often misunderstand. These spots are caused by sun exposure, especially when a child hasn’t been properly protected from an early age.

It’s not dirt. It’s not a disease. And it’s definitely not something to be mocked.

Dear Teacher,

Punishing a child with Albinism by making them stand under the sun is not just unfair, it is harmful. Children with albinism have very sensitive skin and eyes due to lack of melanin. Prolonged sun exposure can cause severe sunburn, skin damage, eye strain, and long-term health issues.

Let’s create an inclusive and safe environment where every child is treated with dignity and understanding. Discipline should never come at the cost of a child's health.

✏️📚 Dear Schools and Teachers, Please Read This

Students with albinism are bright, capable, and eager to learn — they just need a little extra support to thrive.

🖊️ Write bigger on the board — it helps them see clearly.
📖 Use bold text in printed books and handouts — it makes reading easier.
👩‍🏫 Be patient and understanding — a little kindness goes a long way.

These simple changes can make a huge difference. Learning should be for everyone — let’s make sure no child is left behind.

💬 Share this and tag a school, teacher, or parent who needs to see it.

Got sunburned and now your skin is peeling?
Understanding why it happens can help you take better care of your skin. Peeling is your body’s natural way of shedding damaged skin cells.

To soothe and heal:

⚫ Moisturize with aloe vera or soy-based products

⚫ Avoid exfoliating

⚫ Stay hydrated

Remember, prevention is key – always use sunscreen.
