Progress for autistic children often happens gradually. Celebrating small, consistent steps helps families stay motivated and reduces the pressure to see immediate results. Every positive step is meaningful.

What have you learned about autism and autistic individuals? They are very sensitive people but also very strong willed. So during our last activity at the hub, we could not get the children to sit down and do anything. They were all over the place. Eloping, playing with everything on the playground but they wouldn’t sit for any activity. Then the OT suggested we try puzzles and boy! It worked!

Your autistic child is an individual so when parents say he/she does not like doing anything I find that hard to believe because they do, you just have to find it. Have an amazing week ahead
