Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts which I am a member just rounded up the shared event.

I appreciate the acknowledgment of the need for leaders to undergo attitudinal change. It's also noteworthy that a woman highlighted the cultural aspect of this attitude shift, emphasizing its importance within our families and workplaces, and I add schools. Indeed, having the right attitude is crucial for advocating for positive changes.

As one colleague conveyed in a recent broadcast, it appears that human lives in Nigeria are perceived as being the most undervalued in the world. For instance, let's consider Israel as a case study: they are actively seeking the release of a relatively small number of captive individuals in comparison to the significant loss of troops, which stood at approximately 248 as of March 10th. The disparity in attitudes towards life between their leaders and ours is striking. This illustrates the importance of having a positive attitude and how a parliamentary system of government can offer that perspective to the people. Attitude reflects mentality and is essential for achieving success in governance and for maintaining a government that prioritizes the needs of its citizens. The attitudes of leaders in Nigeria's current democratic era indicate a concerning lack of concern for our well-being.

A return to a parliamentary system can be sustained with the right attitude. Nigeria has been led by individuals with the wrong attitude, often supported by like-minded individuals. Therefore, I believe that psychological evaluation should also play a central role in this endeavor, contributing to the lasting success of the transition to a parliamentary system of government. It will guarantee its sustenance.

REVITALIZATION FIGHTS BURNOUT

Resting and not doing something but deciding to just let things be or pass will not stop things from happening or needing to be done. Sleeping will not stop burnout, but rejuvenation can. Sleep is ideal, but after that, tasks still await us. We need to rejuvenate and get back to work.

While we are task loaded because we want to feel accomplished and are eager to have the world view us as achievers, we must be careful to think that rest stops burnout. It could be counterintuitive. We must think things through before attempting them else we become prone to mistakes that may be costly.

Revitalization helps us to gather that inner and physical energy we had exhausted. Rest could help, but when we relax our brains and engage in some other activities that refresh us, we experience renewed energy and hope. That's how we attain rejuvenation and it's good for our psychological well-being. We need to engage in some form of autotelic moments that create a sense of enjoyment to achieve rejuvenation. There are moments we can create or key into that helps us to see the world better afterward.

Let me pause here for now. Should you have any questions on this feel free to reach out. I'll share more tips on how to be at our best. Welcome to 2023.

It was such an awesome moment when we gathered at the Archbishop Vinning memorial church at GRA Ikeja to talk about the importance of human rights on United Nations Human Rights Day. The event was organized by Human Rights Research and Education Centre (HURREC).
I connected the subject to human psychological well-being and like that of other resource persons, we experienced several insightful and exciting moments.

I hope Nigeria and Nigerians in Nigeria will shortly begin to understand better and appreciate the importance of psychological well-being like many nations do, including some in Africa i.e SA, Ruanda, etc. Kudos to the organizers, resource and anchor persons, and Miss Nigeria. It was fantastic.

Speaking at the just concluded Lunch & Learn event organized by the Anglican Communion, Diocese of Lagos west, I accentuated mental, emotional and behavioural issues among youths; past present and future. It was a fantastic event. Everyone who played a role was tremendous.

I analyzed the subject from three perspectives because of time: The cultural, social and religious past, present and future. I believe if cogent steps are taken to correct psychological deterioration among youths today, the future will not be disastrous.
Respect for parents and the elderly, teachers and guardians is at its highest low. Enforcing moral codes are termed abuse as many parents born in the 60s, 70s and very early 80s have downplayed discipline to interpret it as offensive. The values our parents handed over to us have been thrown away and now they are handing borrowed cultures of disrespect in the name of modernity, to their children. Such cultures that haven't benefited those from whom they were borrowed mentally, emotionally and behaviourally.

Correction is now termed oppression while laziness is increasing and being tolerated by many parents and guardians. High-mindedness, addiction to negative habits, and lackadaisicalness are up swinging among youths today.

These and many more were touched. One mum had to contribute by saying to the youths that if any generation was to complain of being abused, it should be those born before or in the very 80s. Those were periods parents obligated culture in youths who also embraced and saw the measures as acts of instilling positive practice. Youths at the time embraced discipline as a cultural value which enabled them to adopt decent morals.

Sadly, while it is our time to hand over the forenamed values to children born in the 90s and 2000s, these values were dampened by 21st-century parents who have short-changed the cultural values handed over to them for many borrowed and unhealthy ones. Today, the same parents are complaining about th

I'm humbled and grateful to the Anglican Church Lagos Diocese for inviting me once again as one of the guest speakers in this forthcoming "LUNCH & LEARN" event. It is strategic and fundamental to the reformation of cognitive constructs. If you can, try to make it to this event. It will be very enterprising.
