The alarming rate of STDs testing positive in hospitals is a pressing concern that demands attention. Specifically, the prevalence of HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis A and B is becoming increasingly common in Nigeria, affecting individuals across all age groups, including those under 17. I implore you: if you cannot abstain from s*x, please practice safety control measures. No disease is pleasant to contract, and even after treatment, your immune system may be weakened, making you vulnerable to further infections. Be mindful of what you share and with whom you share it - personal belongings have always been a key aspect of safety practices. Pregnant women with STDs, please inform your healthcare practitioner to ensure the child's safety. It's heartbreaking to see children test positive for diseases they don't understand. Remember, health is wealth, but only for those who follow safety protocols. Hope Foundation and healthcare services are always available to support you.

PROTECT YOUR LIVER, PROTECT YOUR LIFE!

Hepatitis A is a highly contagious liver infection caused by the hepatitis A virus. The virus is one of several types of hepatitis viruses that cause inflammation and affect your liver's ability to function.
You are most likely to contract hepatitis A from contaminated food or water or from close contact with someone who's infected.

GOOD NEWS! Mild cases of hepatitis A don't require treatment, and most people who are infected recover completely with no permanent liver damage.

HOW CAN YOU STAY SAFE?
Practicing good hygiene, including washing hands frequently, is one of the best ways to protect against hepatitis A. Vaccines are available for people most at risk.
Stay tuned for the "Symptoms of Hepatitis A"
