How to calculate your menstrual cycle 🔄
A lot of you have been asking me how to calculate your menstrual cycle, so I decided to educate you on the simple steps on how to calculate your menstrual cycle.

Here are simple steps to calculate your menstrual cycle.

1. Mark the first day your menstruation 🩸 starts on your calendar.

2. Track the first day of your next period.

3. Now count how many days pass from your first day of your period to the DAY BEFORE YOUR next period starts.

4. Count the total days, that will give you your menstrual cycle whether is 28day cycle or 35 day cycle.

E.g If your period started on 2nd June and your next period starts on 30th june, you count from that 2 June to 29th june. Whatever number you get Is your menstrual cycle.

Which gives you 28day cycle.

6. Now to know if you have a 28day cycle you have to repeat this whole process for aleast 3 months. If you keep getting the same number e.g 28 day then that shows that your menstrual cycle is a 28 day cycle

7. It is only when you know your menstrual cycle days that you can be able to calculate your fertile days and your ovulation day!

Tracking your ovulation using an ovulation tracking kit (also called an ovulation predictor kit or OPK) is a reliable way to identify your fertile window i.e the days you’re most likely to get pregnant.

Here are simple steps to use an ovulation tracking kit:

1. First track your menstrual cycle and know when your ovulation is about to start. (Ovulation happens 14days before your next period

2. When to start testing, start testing 2 to 3 days before your ovulation date: e.g
26 day cycle can start the test on 10th day
28 day cycle on the 11day of your cycle
30day cycle check on the 12th day
32day cycle check on the 13th day

3. Check using your MIDDAY URINE not early morning urine. You can test between 10am and 8pm.
Try testing same time everyday.

4. Collect urine and dip the test strips inside and wait for the results. A positive test will show 2lines

5 . A positive test shows that ovulation will likely happen in 12 to 36 hours

6. Once you get a positive result, have in*******se with your husband for a greater chance of getting pregnant 🤰🏽

Note: use the strip consistently every month for best accuracy.

If your cycle is irregular start testing earlier and longer to be able to get a positive results.

Don’t drink too much water before testing because it can dilute the Luteinsing hormone in your urine.
