A Promising Life Cut Short: Lieutenant D!es in Marital Tragedy

The Nigerian Army has lost one of its newest medical officers, Lieutenant Dr. Samson Haruna, in a devastating turn of events that unfolded within his home at Wellington Bassey Barracks.

The promising doctor, who had joined the military just last year after graduating in medicine, had been married for a mere five months. According to reports, a heated argument with his wife, also a medical professional, on September 22, 2025, turned fatal when she allegedly se*t him on fi*re.

Despite being rushed to the military clinic and then the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital, Dr. Haruna could not survive the severe injurie*s. The incident has cut short a life of immense promise, just as his military and marital journeys had begun. His wife is now in police custody, facing charges for her alleged role in his dea*th.
