2026 is here, and it’s time to level up our health game! Forget “New Year, New Me”, let’s go with “New Year, Healthy Me!”
Here are 20 Health & Wellness New Year Resolutions:
1. Move that body! Exercise at least 30 minutes a day.
2. Eat the rainbow. More fruits & veggies, less junk.
3. Hydrate, phuza amanzi. Water is life!
4. Prioritise mental health. Breathe, meditate, talk it out.
5. Quit smoking. Your lungs will thank you.
6. Drink smart. No alcohol abuse, moderation is key.
7. Take your meds. Stick to your treatment plan.
8. Practice safe s*x. Protect yourself & your partner.
9. Protect women & children. Zero tolerance for abuse.
10. Fight teenage pregnancy. Education & awareness matter.
11. Antenatal care is a must. Moms-to-be, don’t skip checkups.
12. Screen for cancer. Early detection saves lives.
13. Know your numbers. Blood pressure, sugar, cholesterol.
14. Sleep like royalty. 7–8 hours every night.
15. Wash those hands. Hygiene is still king!
16. Limit salt & sugar. Your heart will love you.
17. Ensure children are immunised to stay protected.
18. Manage stress. Laugh more, worry less.
19. Stay active at work. Stretch, walk, avoid sitting too long.
20. Love yourself. Self-care isn’t selfish!
