The prostate gland is a male reproductive organ that produces fluids that feed and protect s***m cells.
The three most common forms of prostate disease are inflammation (prostatitis), non-cancerous enlargement (BPH), and prostate cancer.
If you are a man in your 50s or 60s, discuss having your prostate gland checked with your doctor.
Natural lifestyle tips for a healthy prostate
~Eat at least five servings of fruits and vegetables every day. Go for those with deep, bright color.
~Choose whole-grain meals instead of refined grains.
~Limit your consumption of red meat, and choose healthy proteins like Fish, skinless poultry, beans, and eggs.
~Choose healthy fats, such as olive oil, nuts (almonds, walnuts, pecans), and avocados.
~Limit saturated fats from dairy and other animal products.
~Avoid partially hydrogenated fats (trans fats), which are in many fast foods and packaged foods.
~Avoid sugar-sweetened drinks
~Cut down on salt. Choose foods low in sodium by reading and comparing food labels.
~Limit the use of canned, processed, and frozen foods.
~Watch portion sizes. Eat slowly and stop eating when you are full.
