Ramadan health tips;
Day 09:

Choose Whole Over Processed...yes do that always especially this h Ramadan ✨

During this blessed month of Ramadan, what you eat at Sahur and Iftar truly matters🤌

Whole foods like fruits, vegetables, beans, and grains give your body real strength to fast with ease and worship Allah SubuhanaHu wa ta'ala with focus

The fewer the ingredients, the better for your body and your ibaadah (worship)✨

No be everything wey quick cook dey good for body

Those canned and processed food nah p+isons o!

Sometimes simple food na the best choice💯✅

When you choose food in its natural form, you are fueling your body the right way...
steady energy, better digestion, and less weakness during the day

Processed foods may look quick and easy, but they often leave you feeling tired, bloated, and thirsty while fasting

If you chop too much processed food for Iftar, you go just dey feel heavy and weak for Taraweeh🎉

E je ka yan ounje to dara l'aayo

Ara wa ki i tan wa je ti a ba fun un ni ounje to pe ye...
(Know that when we feed our body properly, it will not fail us)

Make we no use our own hand spoil our fasting with wrong food choice!

Whole foods will help you:👇

Stay energized longer during fasting hours

Reduce excessive hunger in the afternoon

Stay properly hydrated

Focus better in Salah and Taraweeh

Be mindful of what you eat in this blessed month

Jikin ku amanah ne (Your body is a trust)🤌

When you nourish it well, you honor that trust

Wallahi, when you eat clean, your body go thank you💯

This Ramadan, let your plate be simple, clean, nourishing, less processed✅

Ramadan Health Tips;
Day 8:
Protect your hydration the smart way

During Ramadan, dehydration is one of the main reasons people feel tired, dizzy, or develop headaches during the day

It’s not just about drinking plenty of water at iftar

It’s about how and when you drink it

From iftar to sahur, space your water intake gradually

Don’t pour everything into your stomach at once

Start with a glass or two at iftar, then continue sipping every hour

Your body absorbs water better this way

Reduce sugary drinks and excessive caffeine at night

Yes, that soda and strong coffee look tempting, but they can increase thirst the next day

If you drink too much caffeine, your body go dey push water out and tomorrow afternoon you go dey feel the dryness more

At sahur, include:👇
Water-rich fruits like watermelon or oranges

Light soups

Moderate salt (avoid very salty foods)

Too much salt will make you extremely thirsty during fasting hours
Listen to your body

If your urine is very dark at night, that’s a sign you need more fluids before fasting begins again

Stay intentional
Stay balanced

Ramadan is spiritual discipline and taking care of your health is part of that discipline

RAMADAN HEALTH TIPS; DAY 7
POWER UP YOUR SAHUR WITH PROTEIN :

During the blessed month of Ramadan, what you eat at Sahur (Suhoor) can determine how strong and energetic you feel throughout the fasting hours

Many people focus only on eating “something quick” before Fajr, but the quality of that meal matters more than the quantity

One powerful secret to maintaining steady energy and reducing mid-day hunger is adding enough protein to your Sahur meal

Protein digests slowly compared to simple carbohydrates
This means it releases energy gradually into your body, helping you stay fuller for longer

Instead of feeling weak, dizzy, or extremely hungry by noon, your body remains more balanced and stable

When your Sahur is made up mostly of white bread, sugary tea, pap, or other refined carbs alone, your blood sugar rises quickly and then crashes

That crash is what makes you feel tired, irritable, and hungry before Asr

But when you include protein, it slows digestion and prevents that sharp energy drop

Why Protein at Sahur is Important:

It helps maintain stable energy levels

It reduces excessive hunger during the day

It supports muscle strength and body repair

It helps prevent overeating at Iftar

Healthy Protein Options for Sahur

Eggs (boiled, scrambled, or omelette with vegetables)

Beans or moi-moi

Greek yogurt or unsweetened yogurt
Milk

Groundnuts or peanut butter

Fish or grilled chicken (in moderate portions)

You can combine protein with fiber-rich foods like oats, whole wheat bread, brown rice, or fruits for even better results

For example, oats with milk and nuts, boiled eggs with whole wheat bread, or beans with a small portion of brown rice

And remember, Sahur is not about eating heavy food until you are uncomfortable
It is about eating wisely

As we fast for the sake of Allah, we should also take care of the body He entrusted to us

Let your Sahur work for you, not against you
Add protein, stay energized, reduce mid-day hunger and complete your fast with sense and focus

If you find this post helpful, comment with your best protein
