Alimosho General Hospital on Thursday 18th May, 2023 hosted the Football team of Badagry General hospital in an Intra Zone Match between the hospital's Football team and Badagry General Hospital team at the facility open field.

The Medical Director, Dr. Ayodapo Soyinka led some management staff and other members of staff to an afternoon of exciting, interesting and intellectual Sport outing in solidarity to ALGH team.

It is worthy of note the efforts, skills and energies put in place by ALGH team, however the match ended with Double goals to One' Having team Badagry ahead in the day's match.

Congratulations are in Order "

As ALGH launches Automated Queueing Machine, the first of its kind in Lagos State Health Service Facility.

The machine designed to effectively control overcrowding at service point, enhances transparency being a self service device, standardise patients waiting time among others will in no small measures help in reducing patients' waiting time.

The Automated Queue Management System will also serve as a go service to re- introduce and encourage both old and new patients in the use of the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) card, being the main access point to the Automated Queueing Machine.

Interesting the initiative is already accepted, applauded and recommended to other health facilities in the State, by some patients who had their first time experience with the machine.

The Automated Queue Management System fully supported by Dr. Soyinka Ayodapo; Medical Director/Chief Executive Officer; Alimosho General Hospital, is an Initiative of Dr. Adigun Babatunde, Principal Medical Officer and team lead, Creativity and Innovation Committee of the hospital.

The man in this picture (Sunday Okonkwo) was brought to our facility ' Alimosho General Hospital Igando' by the officials of Igando - Ikotun LCDA for treatment when the patient was found along Ijegun road. Patient is being managed for dementia. He could not remember the exact street he lives but only said Ilasa area which could not be traced.

He has since being adequately taken care of by the Hospital Social Welfare Department; however we would love him reunite with his family and vice versa.

Please, if anyone know his relatives or how to locate them, kindly contact the Social Welfare Department of Alimosho General Hospital.

Governor Sanwo-Olu celebrates with Alimosho hospital patients at Christmas
.. Charges staff to be benchmark for quality health care

In continuation of the yearly show of love to hospital patients across Lagos State during Christmas, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has again celebrated with the hospital patients of Alimosho General Hospital and presented different gift items to them.

While identifying with the in-patients of the hospital on Christmas Day, Governor Sanwo-olu who was represented by the Director of Medical Services, Lagos State Health Service Commission, Dr. Olugbenga Oyekan stated that the gesture was a way of celebrating the yuletide season with the citizens even while in the hospital.

Sanwo-Olu told the patients not to be depressed by their health state or for not being able to celebrate with their loved ones at home, stressing that the grace of being able to witness the season, signals hope of quickly recovery for them.

The Governor who was conducted round the various Wards within the hospital in company of the Medical Director, Dr. Ayodapo Soyinka, presented gift items to the hospital patients comprising children, youths, men and women from all the Units/Wards within the facility.

The Governor used the opportunity of the Christmas gift presentation to the patients to commend the entire workforce of the hospital for their efforts and contributions to the realization of his vision for Health and Environment pillar under his THEMES agenda.

While listing the various giant strides made by the hospital in recent years, the Governor maintained that the achievements were only possible through the dedication and commitment of the hospital staffs and the quality leadership being exemplified by the hospital's Medical Director, Dr. Soyinka.

Sanwo-Olu described Alimosho General Hospital, Igando as a flagship hospital that is close to the standard of a Teaching Hospital. "This is the only Hospital in Lagos State that has two Maternal and Child Centre, MCC and also boasts of the highest number of patients."

The Governor who thanked the hospital for keeping his mandate for the health sector visible and for making governance relevance, charged the medical staffs not to relevant in their oars as there are lots of ground to cover.

He reminded the medical officials of the essence of Christmas and urged them to maintain equal standard and passion when attending to the medical needs of patients regardless of their political affiliation, religion, s*x, race or belief, saying that Jesus Christ was fair to everyone in all His dealings.

The Governor added that medical professionals must begin to see themselves as benchmark for practitioners outside the country instead of always aspiring to live up to international standard. "You also can make international standard a reality despite some obvious limitations around" , the Governor stated.

Earlier, the Medical Director of Alimosho General Hospital, Dr. Ayodapo Soyinka averred that the hospital has achieved a lot in terms of efficiency and effectiveness since the beginning of the year.

According to him, the latest on the list of the hospital's achievements is the introduction of the use of Electronic Medical Records, EMR, and an e-card system to further improve the health care of Lagos residents.

He reported that within the short time that the EMR was introduced, over five hundred (500) persons have been registered and captured electronically.
