Recently, there has been an alarming increase in cholera cases in Lagos and several other states across Nigeria. Cholera, a highly contagious bacterial infection, can lead to severe dehydration and even death if not promptly treated. The outbreak has caused significant concern among health authorities and the general public, underscoring the urgent need for preventive measures.

Cholera spreads primarily through contaminated water and food, making it particularly prevalent in areas with inadequate sanitation and clean water supply. Symptoms include acute watery diarrhoea and vomiting, which can rapidly lead to severe dehydration. In light of the recent outbreak, everyone must take preventive steps to protect themselves and their loved ones.
