Harmattan Season is Here!
Stay safe and healthy with these 4 essential tips:
π¦ Stay Hydrated
Drink plenty of water throughout the day to keep your skin, nose, and throat moist. Aim for at least 8 cups (64 oz) of water daily!
π§΄Moisturize
Use a rich lotion or cream to lock in moisture and protect your skin from dryness and cracking. Apply immediately after bathing or showering while skin is still damp.
π§ΉClean Up
Dust and dirt can exacerbate respiratory issues during Harmattan. Clean surfaces more frequently, especially in areas with high foot traffic. Use a damp cloth to trap dust particles and prevent them from becoming airborne.
π€οΈAvoid Prolonged Sun Exposure
While the sun may not feel as strong during Harmattan, its rays can still cause sunburn. Wear protective clothing, seek shade when possible, and apply sunscreen with at least SPF 30 when spending time outdoors.
