“Her life or Her Marriage”. Skit or not, this is the reality of many women in Nigeria. Not just due to ignorance of their health/ rights or cultural biases, but also because they are financially dependent on their enemies.

I hope you learn a thing or two from this video. And please spread the word, educate people around you. And importantly, advocate for yourselves and women around you. Don’t join the shame sharing bandwagon of enemies.

C-Section is a life saving procedure, and it takes a strong women to take that risk to birth a child into this world. Nothing lazy about cutting your body, bearing pain and losing blood to save you and your precious baby. Every mother vaginal or C-section, is a Hero! I love you all ❤️

⚠️We have a crisis on our hands. Everyone has a role to play! Femicide is now dark humour? Check on your children. A world where No means No (Death)? No words! No words!

Share this widely till every dad or intending parent sees it. Pregnancy is such a beautiful journey when done with the right person and an adequate support system. The pregnancy journey doesn’t end after the baby starts, in fact… that is just the beginning!

If you’re not ready for fatherhood, use a condom or be an anonymous s***m donor. Thanks.

The real question is on the last slide… WHY?

A twisted world, if women speaking up about natural experiences makes you uncomfortable. By destroying the culture of silence and speaking up, more women are learning more about their bodies and taking charge of their health.

By speaking up, women are advocating for and shaping health friendly policies to improve their lives and those of generations to come.

By speaking up women are learning that it’s ok not to suffer in silence over treatable conditions. They are learning pain isn’t normal. They are learning what home remedies can help alleviate their discomfort or pain. They are learning when it is time to see a Doctor. They are learning how to track their fertility. They are learning how to care for themselves during these periods. Unlike silence that shames one and allows girls assume or make it up as they go. The culture that hands down myths or nothing at all.

They are learning that it’s not just a period, but it’s their health.

Every month, a woman is expected to bleed whether she wants to or not. It is non negotiable. Its presence, absence, flow, quantity, quality, pain, discomfort, is very telling of one’s health at every given point. Yet she is expected to keep mute about it.

How would we know, how would we grow, if others didn’t share. Dear women, keep sharing your stories and experiences. If it makes them uncomfortable, they can scroll up, skip or mute.

Always remember, it’s not just your period, it’s your health.
