SUMMARY OF GOV. OTTI'S MEDIA CHAT LAST WEEK FRIDAY.

1. "Salary arrears owed staff of Abia State Polytechnic, College of Education, and other parastatals to be cleared soon. The mechanism is already in place, so very soon, they will also smile."
2. "We do not want to develop tourism in isolation. All we are doing is time make this place an attraction for both capital and tourists. We have plans, but we are being careful. Abia has immense tourism potentials but we must do the fundamental things first. These include road rehabilitation, cleaning up the cities, and making sure hotels are of good standard."
3. "LG funds can not be hijacked under my watch. In fact, no fund can be hijacked. The evidence from the LGAs shows that the funds are being channelled appropriately."
4. "The leader of the gang that kidnapped ABSU DVC was picked at MMIA on his way to Turkey. The 2nd suspect was arrested in PH. We take security very seriously in Abia using modern tools and systems." -
5. "We have spent a lot of effort to keep security top on the government agenda. We have been very proactive, and our entire programme is tied to security."
6. "Over N9bn out of the 10bn we set aside to clear the backlog of pensions have been paid out. Other claims are being processed. We must agree that never again shall pensioners be owed. In fact, pensioners must be paid before the political class."
7. "We have been able to rein in on the cost of governance. We manage our expenditure very well & are able to live within our means. We only undertake expenditures that are relevant to our programmes."
8. "We are looking beyond palliatives. We are less palliative-oriented. Our goal is to build a system that supports productivity, creates jobs, and generates wealth."
9. "We are actively supporting the poorest of the poor in communities. The State is presently making arrangements to take delivery of rice for the vulnerable."
10. The State has set up a robust mechanism for tracking and tacking all acts of indiscipline & wilful neglect of norms and rules made to keep society orderly and safe.
11. "Citizens have a responsibility to help keep their environment clean, must refrain from littering or clogging the drainage channels."
12. Gov. Otti speaks on clearing the accumulated arrears owed retirees. Reiterates his promise that pensioners will earn their entitlements by the 28th of every month. Vows that never again will pensioners be neglected.
13. The Obuohia Road, although already in construction, would be flagged off soon. Ohanku Road also."
14. "We will flag off the reconstruction of the Osisioma- Ekeakpara Road in the next few weeks. The contract has already been awarded."

Today, the 2nd of January 2024, marked 8 yeard God blessed me with a lovely woman as a wife. I don't know how to thank you for this wonderful gift of a life partner. As if that was not enough, you blessed us with a 3 BOUNCING BABY BOYS and BOUNCING BABY GIRL within this 8 years. Is it not wonderful? YES IT IS. LORD JESUS, RECEIVED OUR PRAISES. FOR WE DON'T KNOW HOW ELSE TO THANK YOU. May you continue to be with us and our family, friends and well wishers in Jesus Name. Amen. For the family looking for the fruit of the womb, may you do it for them as you did it for us in Jesus Name. Amen.

Father, continue to bless, protect, and give us good health. Amen
