SUMMARY OF GOV. OTTI'S MEDIA CHAT LAST WEEK FRIDAY.
1. "Salary arrears owed staff of Abia State Polytechnic, College of Education, and other parastatals to be cleared soon. The mechanism is already in place, so very soon, they will also smile."
2. "We do not want to develop tourism in isolation. All we are doing is time make this place an attraction for both capital and tourists. We have plans, but we are being careful. Abia has immense tourism potentials but we must do the fundamental things first. These include road rehabilitation, cleaning up the cities, and making sure hotels are of good standard."
3. "LG funds can not be hijacked under my watch. In fact, no fund can be hijacked. The evidence from the LGAs shows that the funds are being channelled appropriately."
4. "The leader of the gang that kidnapped ABSU DVC was picked at MMIA on his way to Turkey. The 2nd suspect was arrested in PH. We take security very seriously in Abia using modern tools and systems." -
