Health Check Tips for Blood Pressure Monitoring 🩺

1. Measure at the Same Time Daily
Check your blood pressure at the same time each day, preferably in the morning before eating or taking medications, to ensure consistency.

2. Sit Comfortably
Sit in a relaxed position with your feet flat on the floor and your arm supported at heart level. Avoid crossing your legs as this can affect the reading.

3. Avoid Caffeine, Smoking, or Exercise Before Testing
These can temporarily raise your blood pressure, so wait at least 30 minutes after consuming caffeine, smoking, or exercising.

4. Use a Properly Fitted Cuff
Ensure that the blood pressure cuff fits properly; one that’s too tight or too loose may give inaccurate readings.

5. Take Multiple Readings
Record two or three readings, about one minute apart, and calculate the average to get a more accurate result.

6. Track Your Readings
Keep a log of your blood pressure over time and share it with your healthcare provider to monitor changes and make informed decisions.
