GRAND FINALE: SENATOR ADEOLA CONCLUDES OGUN WEST TOWN HALL/MEGA EMPOWERMENT & THANK YOU TOUR IN ILARO, YEWA SOUTH
Ilaro, Yewa South LGA – Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) successfully concluded his Town Hall Meeting, Mega Empowerment, and Thank You Tour across Ogun West Senatorial District with a grand finale held in Ilaro, the heart of Yewa South Local Government Area. The tour, which covered all five local government areas of the district, served as both a platform for feedback and an avenue for direct community impact through empowerment initiatives.
The Mega Empowerment Programme, a highlight of the tour, showcased the tangible benefits of Senator Adeola’s commitment to grassroots development. In particular, the leatherwork training programme stood out, with 150 beneficiaries producing belts, shoes, and other leather goods. As a gesture of appreciation, the trainees presented some of their handcrafted items to Senator Adeola, who expressed deep pride in their achievements.
The grand finale drew a large crowd and was graced by prominent dignitaries from the local, state, and federal levels of government. Traditional rulers, community leaders, political stakeholders, and various interest groups were also in attendance, underscoring the significance of the event and the wide support for Senator Adeola’s initiatives.
“This is more than an empowerment programme—it’s a movement towards self-reliance and economic transformation,” Senator Adeola stated. “I am proud of what these young people have accomplished, and I pledge to scale up the programme to reach 1,000 beneficiaries. I also plan to establish a Leatherwork Centre right here in Ogun West to sustain this initiative.”
The Thank You Tour served not only to showcase achievements but also to express gratitude to the people of Ogun West for their continued support. In each LGA visited, Senator Adeola held interactive sessions with constituents, distributed empowerment materials, and reaffirmed his dedication to effective representation and sustainable development.
The grand finale in Ilaro marked a homecoming for the senator, who reiterated his resolve to serve with purpose and results.
“As we round off this tour where it all began—in Yewa South—I am reminded of our shared vision and the trust you have placed in me. My promise remains the same: to serve diligently, listen attentively, and act decisively,” he concluded.
