SONG 57 — Preach to All Kain People

Copy Jesus Zeal for Preaching

“Di Lord send dem two by two go every city and place wey e go later.” — Luke 10:1

FOCUS: Four ways we fit copy Jesus zeal for ministry.

=======================================================================

1. Wetin be one quality wey dey make Jehovah people stand out?

Zeal for preaching na one main thing wey dey show say Jehovah Witness na true followers of Christ. Jesus put plenty importance for preaching work and e teach im disciples to dey do am steady. Preaching na privilege and responsibility because na through am Jehovah dey show im love for people.

Unlike fake Christians wey dey feel say preaching na optional or only for inside church, Jehovah Witness dey carry di message go everywhere. But sometimes, e dey normal say our spirit fit come down. Even apostle Paul face tough time wey e need encouragement. But if we remember why we dey preach and how e dey help people, e fit ginger our zeal again.

---

2. Why e no dey always easy to dey happy for preaching?

If we dey do work like build Kingdom Hall or help brothers, we dey quickly see result and e dey sweet us. Plus, dis kind work dey happen for environment wey dey peaceful and full of appreciation.

But preaching fit dey hard because sometimes we no dey see result. Sometimes people no go want hear, and e fit make us feel say our work no dey do anything. But Bible don assure us say no work wey we do for Jehovah go waste, because we dey obey God and we dey plant seed wey fit grow later.

---

3. Wetin Luke 13:6-9 teach us about Jesus?

Jesus show us with im attitude say preaching need perseverance. Even when plenty people no accept im message, e continue dey preach with joy until di end. Di parable of di fig tree show say Jehovah dey patient and dey give people chance to change.

Jesus put im whole heart for ministry, and e no stop to find way to touch people heart. Dis one teach us say if we remember say every person get value, we go fit continue with enthusiasm because we trust say Jehovah time go reach, and some people go respond.

---

4. Wetin be di four points we go study for dis article?

Jesus na di best preacher ever, and e give us correct example of enthusiasm. For di last six months before im die, as opposition dey increase, instead make e slow down, e increase di work for four main ways:

1. Do Jehovah will — John 4:34, Jesus say “My food na to do di will of di one wey send me and finish im work,” showing say na im top priority.

2. Pay attention to prophecy — Jesus dey always quote Scripture to show say wetin dey happen na fulfillment of messianic prophecy.

3. Trust Jehovah — Even with danger, e know say God go support am (Hebrews 5:7).

4. Keep positive attitude — Jesus dey preach with hope say some people go listen, and truly, some listen even though many reject am.

---

HE FOCUSED ON DOING JEHOVAH WILL

5. How Jesus show say e focus on doing God will?

Jesus understand say di purpose of im life na to preach. Luke 4:43, e talk say, “I must preach di good news of di Kingdom of God to other towns too.” Dis show say im main mission na to declare God Kingdom, no matter di wahala. E no just stay one place; e waka go many cities and villages.

Luke 13:22 show say for di last months of im ministry, Jesus travel well to make sure many people hear di message. E also teach and send others out. Luke 10:1 mention say e send 70 disciples two by two, training dem to continue di work.

---

6. How preaching connect with any assignment wey we get?

Jehovah give us di assignment to preach, and Jesus make am clear say dis work go be di main thing wey im followers go do. So, any other assignment for congregation dey connect to dis work.

For example, when we build Kingdom Hall, na so people wey accept di message go get place to worship. Bethel work and organization of di worldwide ministry dey help distribute publications. Relief work dey help brothers meet physical needs so dem fit continue spiritual things, including preaching.

Make we remember: no other work important pass to bring good news of di Kingdom to people. As János, one elder from Hungary talk, preaching na our main work.

---

7. Why Jehovah want make we continue dey preach? (1 Timothy 2:3, 4)

Jehovah, as loving Father, want make many people know am and get salvation. So, e dey encourage us to dey preach with joy. E know say no be everybody go accept immediately, but every chance wey dem get to hear fit make difference later.

Jesus sef face rejection, but e no allow am stop am. Jehovah dey help us improve our preaching so we fit present di message well.

---

PAID ATTENTION TO DI PROPHECIES

8. How di prophecy affect Jesus?

Jesus sabi di prophecy wey talk about im ministry and death. E know say im time for earth short, and e need fulfill im mission fast. E understand say di suffering and death dey written inside Scripture (Luke 18:31-34).

Instead to dey discouraged, dis knowledge make am preach with more energy. Di surety say Jehovah prophecy dey always come true make am act quickly to make sure many people hear di Kingdom message before e die.

---

9. How Bible prophecy dey motivate us to preach with joy?

When we study Bible prophecy, we dey understand di time wey we dey. Prophecy for Daniel 11:40 and Daniel 2:43-45 show say di conflict between world powers na fulfillment of wetin Bible don predict.

As we recognize say we dey live for di last days, e go give us urgent feeling to preach God Kingdom message. We know say human government go soon end, so e dey ginger us to act fast. Our enthusiasm dey come because we sabi say we dey inside di final stage of history, and every preaching effort dey important to save life.

---

10. Wetin other way Bible prophecy fit motivate us?

Bible prophecy no just tell us about future; e also motivate us to share hope message with others. Plus, prophecy remind us say Jehovah dey support us. Isaiah 11:6-9 show say Jehovah fit change anybody, so we get confidence to preach even to people wey look uninterested.

Mark 13:10 confirm say di worldwide preaching work na part of prophecy fulfillment, so our part for dis work get plenty meaning. One sister from Dominican Republic talk say when she dey think about dis promises, she dey feel like tell others because Jehovah no make di promises just for her, but for everybody.

---

HE TRUSTED JEHOVAH TO HELP AM

11. Why Jesus need trust Jehovah to continue preaching? (Luke 12:49, 53)

Jesus sabi say preaching di good news of di Kingdom no go easy. Luke 12:49-53 show say e know say im message go bring wahala, even with family and religious leaders. People even try kill am.

But even with di strong opposition, Jesus no gree give up because e get full confidence say Jehovah go support am. E dey always talk say, “I no dey alone, di Father wey send me dey with me.”

---

12. How Jesus prepare im disciples to continue preaching despite opposition?

Jesus prepare im disciples by teaching dem to trust Jehovah help and giving dem clear instructions. E assure dem say, even if persecution come, Jehovah go dey with dem. E also teach dem to wise up and avoid unnecessary wahala.

E tell dem make dem no force anybody to hear di message, and if people reject am, make dem waka comot. Jesus sef apply dis: e preach with joy and confidence but avoid unnecessary danger. E even tell dem say if persecution too much, make dem run go another place to continue preaching.

---

13. Why you fit sure say Jehovah go help you?

From apostle time, Jehovah don dey give im people strength to preach with joy even when persecution dey. Jesus even pray for us inside John 17, asking Jehovah to protect im disciples and all wey believe.

Acts show say Jehovah answer di prayer: Christians face opposition but still continue. For Acts 4:29-31, disciples pray and Holy Spirit give dem power to preach with boldness.

---

14. Why we dey confident say we go continue to preach with joy?

We sure say we fit continue because Jesus don assure us say Jehovah go give di help wey we need, even when preaching hard. We no dey force people to listen or argue.

For countries wey get restrictions, brothers still dey preach boldly because dem trust Jehovah, no be their own power. Apostle Paul suffer well for ministry, but Jehovah give am strength (2 Timothy 4:17). Today, Jehovah still dey give us courage to preach until di work go finish.

---

IT WAS POSITIVE

15. How we know say Jesus get positive attitude toward preaching?

Jesus dey confident say many people go accept di Kingdom message. Dis positive thinking help am stay motivated and encourage im disciples. For John 4:35, e tell dem make dem look di harvest — people wey get open heart.

Matthew 9:37, 38 and Luke 10:2 show say Jesus always dey talk about di harvest plenty. Luke 10:21 show say Jesus see preaching as not just responsibility but joy.

---

16. Wetin comparison Jesus use to show positive attitude? (Luke 13:18-21)

Jesus use example like mustard seed to show how something small fit become big. Preaching work don grow from small group of disciples to millions of preachers today.

E also use yeast to show how Kingdom message fit cause change inside people life, even if e small at first, over time e go show for their behavior.

---

17. Wetin reason we get to keep positive attitude for ministry?

Jesus say di harvest big and more workers dey needed. Today, we dey see am — every year people dey accept Kingdom message. For example, for 2023, millions attend Memorial and over 200,000 baptize, showing say preaching dey work.

Plus, Revelation 7:9, 14 talk about di great crowd Jehovah dey gather to survive di great tribulation. Dis give us confidence say many sincere people still dey wey we go meet.

---

18. Wetin we want make people notice?

We want make people see our enthusiasm for preaching, just like apostles. Acts 4:13 say people see apostles courage and understand say dem be Jesus disciples.

We want show same zeal and enthusiasm. Preaching na one mark of true Jesus followers, and our joy fit spark interest for people wey dey watch us.

---

WHAT YOU GO ANSWER?

How Jesus see preaching, and how we fit copy am?
Jesus see preaching as vital and get positive attitude. E compare people to ripe harvest. We fit copy am by keeping optimistic and remembering some people go always accept di message.

How Jesus show im trust for Jehovah, and how we fit copy am?
Jesus trust Jehovah fully, especially for hard times. E pray for im disciples. We fit copy am by praying with faith and trusting Jehovah to give us strength to continue preaching.

Wetin be Jesus attitude toward preaching, and how we fit copy am?
Jesus get enthusiastic and positive attitude, believing say im message go reach people. We fit copy am by preaching with joy and confidence say Jehovah go make di Kingdom seed grow.

SONG 57 Preaching to All Sorts of People

Imitate Jesus’ Zeal for Preaching

“The Lord . . . sent them out by twos ahead of him into every city and place where he himself was to go.”—LUKE 10:1.

FOCUS: Four ways in which you can imitate Jesus’ zeal in your ministry.

================================================================================================================

1. What is one quality that sets Jehovah’s people apart from the world?

A key difference is that Jehovah's Witnesses demonstrate an intense desire to preach the good news, as Titus 2:14 indicates, unlike false Christians, who don't prioritize this work. Although we may sometimes feel a lack of enthusiasm, as one diligent elder acknowledged.

2. Why is it not always easy to feel enthusiasm for preaching?

It's not always easy to feel enthusiastic about preaching, because sometimes we don't see immediate results. Furthermore, working with the brothers in other endeavors is often enjoyable and edifying, while preaching in unreceptive territories can be discouraging, especially if we've had negative experiences or feel like people aren't listening. Added to this is the fact that, according to Jesus, the closer the end comes, the greater the opposition to the message.

3. What does Luke 13:6-9 teach us about Jesus?

Luke 13:6-9 teaches us that Jesus maintained and increased his enthusiasm for preaching despite the limited visible results. The illustration compares him to a man who tended a fig tree for three years without it bearing fruit, yet he didn't give up and continued to strive.

Similarly, although Jesus preached to the Jews for three years and only a few became disciples, he did not become discouraged or reduce his efforts, but intensified his ministry to touch people's hearts.

4. What four points will we analyze in this article?

This article will examine four ways Jesus demonstrated enthusiasm in his ministry, especially during the last six months of his life on Earth. These points are:

1. He focused on doing Jehovah’s will.

2. He paid attention to the prophecies.

3. He trusted that Jehovah would help him.

4. He was positive and held out hope that some would listen to him.

HE FOCUSED ON DOING JEHOVAH'S WILL

5. How did Jesus show that he was focused on doing God's will?

Jesus demonstrated that he was focused on doing God's will by enthusiastically preaching the good news of the Kingdom, knowing that this was his primary mission.

During the final months of his ministry, he traveled tirelessly from city to city and village to village, teaching. He also trained more disciples and sent them out to preach like him, showing that he prioritized the work of the Kingdom above all else.

6. In what ways does preaching relate to any assignment we have? (See also the images.)

Preaching is related to any assignment we have, because it is the main work Jehovah and Jesus have entrusted to us. All other tasks directly support this work.

For example, we build Kingdom Halls so that the people we preach to can worship Jehovah. Our work at Bethel and other similar locations facilitates the preaching work, and our relief efforts help the brothers and sisters meet their basic needs so they can resume preaching and other spiritual activities.

ILLUSTRATION

Series of images: 1. A brother works on a construction project. 2. Another brother helps Bethel from his home as a remote volunteer. 3. Later, the two brothers preach together.

Preaching the good news is the main work Jehovah and Jesus want us to do. (See paragraph 6.)

7. Why does Jehovah want us to continue preaching? (1 Timothy 2:3, 4)

Jehovah wants us to continue preaching because he desires that as many people as possible hear and accept the good news, since this message has the potential to save their lives. His desire is for them to be saved and to come to an accurate knowledge of the truth.

PAID ATTENTION TO THE PROPHECIES

8. What effect did knowing the prophecies have on Jesus?

Knowing the Bible's prophecies had a profound effect on Jesus, as he knew his ministry would last only three and a half years and that he would die in a specific way. This knowledge motivated him to make the most of his time, preaching enthusiastically to complete the work Jehovah had entrusted to him.

9. Why do biblical prophecies motivate us to preach enthusiastically?

Bible prophecies motivate us to preach with enthusiasm because they help us understand that we live in the last days of this system. Seeing prophecies fulfilled, such as the conflict between the king of the north and the king of the south, or the vision of the statue in the book of Daniel, convince us that God's Kingdom is about to intervene. This knowledge compels us to preach with urgency, knowing that Jehovah will soon establish his Kingdom.

10. In what other ways can Bible prophecies motivate us to preach with enthusiasm?

Bible prophecies motivate us to preach with enthusiasm because they contain hopeful promises we long to share with others. They remind us that Jehovah has a wonderful purpose for humanity and that this message is for everyone.

They also encourage us by showing us that Jehovah can help anyone change. Furthermore, knowing that we are participating in the fulfillment of prophecies, such as the one in Mark 13:10 about the worldwide preaching, makes us feel privileged.

HE TRUSTED THAT JEHOVAH WOULD HELP HIM

11. Why did Jesus need to trust in Jehovah to continue preaching with enthusiasm? (Luke 12:49, 53)

Jesus needed to trust in Jehovah because he knew his message would cause division and strong opposition, as Luke 12:49, 53 indicates. Although he preached with respect, his teaching generated controversy, especially among the religious leaders, who came to hate him to the point of trying to kill him on several occasions.

12. How did Jesus prepare his disciples to continue preaching despite opposition?

Jesus prepared his disciples by reminding them that they could trust Jehovah to help them. He assured them that although they would face persecution, they would not be alone, for Jehovah would give them the right words through his Holy Spirit. He also taught them to be prudent and cautious, explaining that they should not force anyone to hear the message. He also advised them to flee if they were persecuted.

13. Why can you be sure that Jehovah will help you?

We can be confident that Jehovah will help us preach with enthusiasm despite opposition, because Jesus prayed for his followers. In that prayer, he asked Jehovah to protect the apostles and all who accepted the message they preached—including us.

The book of Acts shows that Jehovah responded by helping the apostles preach boldly in the face of persecution. Therefore, we can trust that Jehovah will continue to support us in the same way.

14. Why are we confident that we can continue preaching with enthusiasm? (See also the image.)

We are confident that we will be able to continue preaching with enthusiasm because Jesus assured us that even when we face difficulties or persecution, Jehovah will provide the help we need.

Just as in the first century, when God's servants were able to fully preach the message even in adverse situations, today we can also trust that Jehovah will give us the strength and wisdom to continue.

ILLUSTRATION

Even when they cannot preach freely, the brothers maintain their enthusiasm and seek discreet ways to share their faith. (See paragraph 14.)

IT WAS POSITIVE

15. How do we know that Jesus had a positive attitude toward preaching?

Jesus was confident that there would be people who would listen to the good news, and that positive attitude helped him continue preaching enthusiastically. At the end of the year 30, Jesus saw that there were many people willing to hear the message and compared them to a field that was white, ready for harvest.

About a year later, he told his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful." Jesus always kept in mind that there were many people who would accept his message, and when someone did, he was very happy.

16. What comparisons did Jesus use to convey a positive attitude toward preaching? (Luke 13:18-21; see also the image.)

Jesus used two comparisons in Luke 13:18-21 to convey a positive attitude toward preaching. First, he compared the Kingdom message to a mustard seed that grows into a large tree, indicating that many people would accept the good news and that nothing would stop its spread. Second, he compared it to yeast, suggesting that the good news would spread to many parts of the earth, gradually but significantly transforming people.

ILLUSTRATION

Two sisters are preaching with their carts in a busy area. Many people pass by the carts without stopping.

Like Jesus, we remain confident that some people will accept the message. (See paragraph 16.)

17. What reasons do we have to maintain a positive attitude toward the ministry?

We have many reasons to maintain a positive attitude toward the ministry. One of them is seeing the results Jehovah is achieving around the world. Millions of people attend the memorial, study the Bible, and hundreds of thousands are baptized and join in the preaching work each year. Although we don't know how many more people will accept the message, we know that Jehovah is gathering a great crowd who will survive the great tribulation.

18. What do we want people to notice?

We want people to notice that we preach with the same enthusiasm and courage as Jesus, just as the apostles did, whose attitude led others to realize they had been with Jesus. Seeing us preach with zeal, we want them to recognize that we are true disciples of Christ.

WHAT WOULD YOU ANSWER?

How did Jesus view preaching, and how can we imitate him?

Jesus saw preaching as the most important work his Father had entrusted to him. He didn't treat it as a secondary task, but as his life priority. To imitate him, we must have that same vision: see preaching as the most valuable activity in our service to God, remain active in it, and look for ways to participate with greater enthusiasm, even when we don't see immediate results.

How did Jesus show his trust in Jehovah, and how can we imitate him?

Jesus demonstrated his trust in Jehovah by courageously continuing to preach despite strong opposition and hatred from the religious leaders. We can imitate that trust by relying on Jehovah for guidance through prayer, studying his word, and maintaining faith that he will strengthen us in any circumstance.

What attitude did Jesus have toward preaching, and how can we imitate him?

Jesus had a positive and hopeful attitude toward preaching. Although not everyone accepted the message, he continued forward, convinced that some would. We can imitate that attitude by maintaining hope that more people will accept the message, by rejoicing in any positive response, and by remembering that we are participating in a work directed by Jehovah, with results.
