HEALTH TALK ON PROSTATE CANCER IN MEN

While many men are reluctant to talk about their health, experts say they should be talking about prostate health.

The prostate is a reproductive gland responsible for secreting some fluids found in semen. These fluids help protect and extend the lifespan of s***m.

As men grow older, the prostate grows in size.

“Growth of the prostate occurs in the teens and again in the 30s, but the prostate continues to grow throughout life,” says Dr. Timothy Buffey, family medicine physician at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal, Ill.

Scientists are still unsure why this growth occurs, but there are several related prostate problems that can develop as a result. The three most common problems are:

An inflamed prostate (prostatitis)
An enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia, or BPH)
Prostate cancer
It is important to note there is no link between these different conditions and it is possible to have multiple conditions at once, Dr. Buffey says.

Chronic prostatitis affects 10 to 15 percent of the male population and can occur in men of any age group, according to the National Institute of Diabetes, Digestive and Kidney Diseases. Prostatitis is caused by a bacterial infection and frequently leads to a burning sensation during urination, a frequent urge to go, painful ej*******ons, and re**al pain or pressure.

Men experiencing these symptoms should speak to their physician. The most common test for prostatitis is a urine test

An enlarged prostate caused by abnormal non-cancerous cell growth also makes the prostate swell. The most common problem is blockage of urine flow. Accompanying symptoms may include trouble urinating, urinating often, a sudden urge to go, stopping and starting while going, or straining to go. There is currently no cure for an enlarged prostate, but prescriptions or surgery can help relieve symptoms.

The most serious prostate issue is prostate cancer.

According to the National Cancer Institute, more than half of all American men will develop some form of cancer in their prostate glands by the age of 80. However, most of these cancers are not life threatening. The disease only becomes serious if the cancer metastasizes, or spreads, to other parts of the body. Men 50 or older are considered to be at a higher risk for prostate cancer.

Men should begin being tested for prostate problems once they reach age 50. This usually involves a digital re**al exam and/or a test that measures the level of prostate-specific antigen in the blood.

According to the American Cancer Society, there are pros and cons to the screening tests available, especially the blood test for prostate cancer, and not all doctors are in agreement as to its usefulness.

“A prostate exam performed by a physician or other health practitioner may help detect cancer earlier, but it hasn’t been shown to result in fewer cancer-related issues or death in asymptomatic men,” says Dr. Buffey. “This discussion is best had with your personal physician.”

To reduce their risk of prostate issues, the American Cancer Society recommends men eat right, get plenty of exercise, maintain a healthy weight and reduce stress.

Early warning signs of prostate cancer
Because of the proximity of the prostate gland to the bladder and urethra, prostate cancer may be accompanied by a variety of urinary symptoms, especially in the early stages. Depending on its size and location, a tumor may press on and constrict the urethra, inhibiting the flow of urine. Some early prostate cancer signs include:

Burning or pain during urination
Difficulty urinating, or trouble starting and stopping while urinating
More frequent urges to urinate at night
Loss of bladder control
Decreased flow or velocity of urine stream
Blood in urine (hematuria)
Blood in semen
Difficulty getting an er****on (erectile dysfunction)
Painful ej*******on
Prostate cancer may spread (metastasize) to nearby tissues or bones. If the cancer spreads to the spine, it may press on the spinal nerves. Signs of metastatic prostate cancer may include:

Swelling in legs or pelvic area
Numbness or pain in the hips, legs or feet
Bone pain that doesn’t go away, or leads to fractures
The symptoms of prostate cancer often differ from patient to patient. The most common first sign of recurrent prostate cancer is a rise in the PSA level in the blood, making regular PSA tests all the more important in measuring the progress of treatment and checking for signs of recurrence.

MENSTRUAL CYCLE AND OVULATION PERIOD...

Most ladies don't understand this because of much heavy grammar used to teach it, and we don't listen to our body too. Pls read, start listening to your body for signs and follow the simple analysis/steps for ease of getting pregnant........

👉MENSTRUAL PERIOD:The time blood flows out of your private area, when you use pad.
👉MENSTRUAL CYCLE: Days it takes to see another blood in the month. If you last saw your period in October 11th and it started again on November 10th 2017, then you have 30days cycle (count from 11 October to 10 November).
NOTE: It is erroneous to believe its 28days cycle, different women have different cycles ranging from 21-35 days.

👉OVULATION PERIOD: This is time to get pregnant without stress. This is 2 weeks after your period or 2 weeks before the next period.
Here's a simple way to calculate your ovulation (unsafe) period.

1. From the first day you see the blood of your period.
2. Pick up a calendar and count 14 days including the first day of the blood stain.
3. Mark the 14th day with a pen.
4. Mark 3 days before the 14th day, and mark 2 days after the 14th day.
6. You will notice you have 6 days marked.
These 6 days are your ovulation/fertile days also known as unsafe period.
That is if you have s*x on any of these days, then you have 98% chances of being pregnant.
7. Do this every month diligently

EVERY OTHER DAY IS YOUR SAFE PERIOD.
For example:

1. If your period is 11th Nov, 2017,
2. 14 days after the first day of the blood stain will be on 24h of this Nov month (2weeks after) counting from 11th.
3. 14th day is on the 24th November 2017.
4. 3days before the 14th day is 21, 22, 23.
5. 2days after 24th November 2017 is 25 and 26
6. 21-26th November (6days) is when you are ovulating. It is your fertile window and period.
**Don't forget that the 6 days is a reminder that s***m stays in the female body for about 6 days. Any s*xual contact in between ovulation period will form something that has ears, eyes, etc.
ALSO......
If you want a baby girl, have
s*x between 3 days before ovulation (21- 23rd) 2017.

For a baby boy on the main ovulation day and 3 days after 24th...........
MAJOR SIGNS THAT YOUR OVULATION HAS BEGAN...

You don't need a doctor, just relax. After 2 weeks you may feel the following:
1. Headache.
2. High body temperature.
3. Dizziness (feeling of tiredness and sleepiness).
4. Breast tenderness/ size increases just like when you are menstruating.
5. Increased s*x drive.
6. Light cramps or pain on one side of the pelvis.
7. Abdominal bloating.
8. Heightened sense of smell, taste or vision (you eat more).
9. Va**na mucus becomes slippery (if you notice, put it in between fingers...it stretches like thick catarrh or snail mucus...colorless like egg white. ..........
N/B:
If you have headache without a cause, check back to when your period started. You can drink both malt and peak milk....don't run to the pharmacist always on issues that can be naturally handled, because drugs are not always good on girls. Or you can take only paracetamol.
👉MEN, read and educate your wives and sisters, most don't know this.

Preventive Measure against Kidney failure using Aloe vera gel and Aloe berry nectar

What is kidney failure?
Your kidneys are a pair of organs located toward your lower back. One kidney is on each side of your spine. They filter your blood and remove toxins from your body. Your kidneys send toxins to your bladder. Your body later removes toxins during urination.

Kidney failure occurs when your kidneys lose the ability to filter waste from your blood sufficiently. Many factors can interfere with your kidney health and function, such as:

Toxic exposure to environmental pollutants or certain medications
Certain acute and chronic diseases
Severe dehydration
kidney trauma
Your body becomes overloaded with toxins if your kidneys can’t do their regular job. This can lead to kidney failure and even be life-threatening if it’s left untreated.

What are the symptoms of kidney failure?
Many different symptoms can occur during kidney failure. Usually someone with kidney failure will have a few symptoms of the disease, though sometimes none are present. Possible symptoms include:

-A reduced amount of urine
-Swelling of your legs, ankles, and feet from retention of fluids caused by the failure of your kidneys to eliminate water waste
-unexplained shortness of breath
-excessive drowsiness or fatigue
-persistent nausea
-confusion
-pain or pressure in your chest
-seizures
-coma

What causes kidney failure?
People who are most at risk for kidney failure usually have one or more of the following causes:

-Loss of blood flow to the kidneys

-A sudden loss of blood flow to your kidneys can prompt kidney failure. Some diseases and conditions that cause loss of blood flow to the kidneys include:
heart attack
heart disease
scarring of the liver or liver failure
dehydration
a severe burn
an allergic reaction
a severe infection, such as sepsis
High blood pressure and anti-inflammatory medications can also limit blood flow.

Urine elimination problems
When your body can’t eliminate urine, toxins build up and overload the kidneys. Some cancers can block the urine passageways. These include prostate (most common type in men), colon, cervical, and bladder cancers.

Other conditions can interfere with urination and possibly lead to kidney failure, including:

kidney stones
an enlarged prostate
blood clots within your urinary tract
damage to the nerves that control your bladder
Other causes
Some diseases and conditions may lead to kidney failure, including:

a blood clot in or around your kidneys
infection
an overload of toxins from heavy metals
drugs and alcohol
vasculitis, an inflammation of blood vessels
lupus, an autoimmune disease that can cause inflammation of many body organs
glomerulonephritis, an inflammation of the small blood vessels of the kidneys
hemolytic uremic syndrome, which involves the breakdown of red blood cells following a bacterial infection, usually of the intestines
multiple myeloma, a cancer of the plasma cells in your bone marrow
scleroderma, an autoimmune disease that affects your skin
thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura, a disorder that causes blood clots in small vessels
chemotherapy drugs, medications that treat cancer and some autoimmune diseases
dyes used in some imaging tests
certain antibiotics
uncontrolled diabetes

Five types of kidney failure
There are five different types of kidney failure:

1:Acute prerenal kidney failure
Insufficient blood flow to the kidneys can cause acute prerenal kidney failure. The kidneys can’t filter toxins from the blood without enough blood flow. This type of kidney failure can usually be cured once you and your doctor determine the cause of the decreased blood flow.

2:Acute intrinsic kidney failure
Acute intrinsic kidney failure can be caused by direct trauma to the kidneys, such as physical impact or an accident. Causes also include toxin overload and ischemia, which is a lack of oxygen to the kidneys. The following may cause ischemia:

severe bleeding
shock
renal blood vessel obstruction
glomerulonephritis
Chronic prerenal kidney failure
When there isn’t enough blood flowing to the kidneys for an extended period of time, the kidneys begin to shrink and lose the ability to function.

3:Chronic intrinsic kidney failure
This happens when there is long-term damage to the kidneys due to intrinsic kidney disease. Intrinsic kidney disease is caused by a direct trauma to the kidneys, such as severe bleeding or a lack of oxygen.

4:Chronic post-renal kidney failure
A long-term blockage of the urinary tract prevents urination. This causes pressure and eventual kidney damage.

How is kidney failure diagnosed?
There are several tests your doctor can use to diagnose kidney failure. These include:

1-Urinalysis
Your doctor may take a urine sample to test for any abnormalities, including abnormal protein or sugar that spills into the urine. Your doctor may also perform a urinary sediment examination. This measures the amount of red and white blood cells, looks for high levels of bacteria, and searches for high numbers of cellular casts.

2-Urine volume measurements
Measuring urine output is one of the simplest tests to help diagnose kidney failure. For example, low urinary output may suggest that kidney disease is due to a urinary blockage, which can be caused by multiple illnesses or injuries.

3:Blood samples
Your doctor may order blood tests to measure substances that are filtered by your kidneys, such as blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and creatinine (Cr). A rapid rise in these levels may indicate acute kidney failure.

4:Imaging
Tests such as ultrasounds, MRIs, and CT scans provide images of the kidneys themselves, along with the urinary tract. This allows your doctor to look for blockages or abnormalities in your kidneys.

5:Kidney tissue sample
Tissue samples are examined for abnormal deposits, scarring, or infectious organisms. Your doctor will use a kidney biopsy to collect the tissue sample. A biopsy is a simple procedure that’s usually performed while you’re awake. You’ll have a local anesthetic to eliminate any discomfort. The sample is collected with a biopsy needle inserted through your skin and down into the kidney. X-ray or ultrasound equipment is used to locate the kidneys and assist the doctor in guiding the needle.

Treatment for kidney failure
There are several treatments for kidney failure. The type of treatment you need will depend on the reason for your kidney failure. Your doctor can help you determine the best treatment option, which may include:

Dialysis
Dialysis filters and purifies the blood using a machine. The machine performs the function of the kidneys. Depending on the type of dialysis, you may be connected to a large machine or a portable catheter bag. You may need to follow a low-potassium, low-salt diet along with dialysis.

Dialysis doesn’t cure kidney failure, but it will extend your life if you go to regularly scheduled treatments.

Kidney transplant
Another treatment option is a kidney transplant. There’s usually a long wait to receive a donor kidney that’s compatible with your body, though if you have a living donor the process may go more quickly.

The advantages of a transplant are that the new kidney can work perfectly, and dialysis is no longer required. The disadvantage is that you must take immunosuppressive drugs after the surgery. These drugs have their own side effects, some of which are serious. Also, transplant surgery is not always successful.

Preventing kidney failure
There are steps you can take to reduce your risk of kidney failure.

Follow directions when taking over-the-counter medications. Taking doses that are too high (even of common drugs such as aspirin) can create high toxin levels in a short amount of time. This can overload your kidneys.

Whenever possible, you should limit your exposure to chemicals, such as household cleaners, to***co, pesticides, and other toxic products.

Using supplement like Aloe Berry nectar

Aloe vera gel aids in digestion and can relieve constipation, diarrhea and intestinal issues. Used for more than 3500 years as an anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial, there is evidence that Cleopatra used aloe to keep her skin supple. The vitamins, minerals, enzymes and amino acids in aloe vera may also improve healing, kill bacteria and fungus.

Apples and Pectin
Apple pectin is a soluble dietary fiber that helps maintain digestive health and can lower cholesterol. Pectin may also help prevent colon cancer and gallstones, regulate blood pressure and help treat ulcers and colitis. Juices are often low in fiber, so including pectin differentiates Forever Living Aloe Berry Nectar from other juices.

Apples are high in vitamin C, B6 and K and potassium, magnesium, manganese and copper. The phytonutrients in apples may help regulate blood sugar, because of their high flavonoid content which can slow down the enzymes that convert complex carbohydrates into sugar.

Cranberries
Cranberries are high in Vitamin C, E, K, B5 and B6. Cranberries contain proanthocyanidin, an antioxidant flavonoid that can help prevent heart disease and cancer. They also detoxify and support urinary tract health. New research suggests cranberries may help prevent kidney stones, help stroke victims recover and may prevent cancer. HAVE YOU NOTICED THAT INFERTILITY IS ON INCREASE THESE DAYS?

Have you stopped to think why is infertility the case these days? Well, I am not saying we are the entirely to blame for these problems, but ignorance, not being aware of danger certain things we do on a normal basis, or knowing the danger but decides to take the risk.

Whatever be the case, I am here again writing on another item we all are guilty of consuming one time or another, without us knowing the health implications.

You would think that foods associated with weight loss would be good for you, right? In the case of aspartame you may want to think twice.

Aspartame is an artificial sweetener used as a sugar substitute for foods like diet soda.

Aspartame is not good for the human body and should be avoided, especially prior to trying to conceive and through pregnancy. It has been linked to infertility and birth defects through DNA damage and endocrine disruption, which leads to hormonal imbalance.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, aspartame consumption has been linked to a variety of other major health issues such as autoimmune disease, ADD (Attention deficit disorder) ADHD ( Attention deficit hyperactivity Disorder), hypothyroidism e.t.c

Aspartame is made up of three elements: phenylalanine, aspartic acid and methanol. The chemical substances doesn't sound like what one should eat.

If you are in the habit of consuming the diet coke, or weight loss tea, replacing sugar with certain sweetners. Intact most sugar free foods contain aspartame.

Diet soda, chewing gum, sugar free jellies and jams, hot cocoa mixes, some chips, some Weight Watchers® meals, some cooking sauces, some yogurts, some drink mixes and cereals.

It is absolutely vital to protect your own health, so that when you get pregnant, the health of your baby is protected as well.
Think about what you are eating daily. If any of the foods you are eating list the ingredients aspartame, phenylketonurics which contains phenylalanine, avoid purchasing or consuming it.

5 REASONS TO AVOID ASPARTAME
1. Protect Your Body from Cell Death

Aspartame is made up of two amino acids found in food we normally eat daily, phenylalanine and aspartic acid. The problem with this though is that these two amino acids are only considered natural and harmless when eaten in combination with other amino acids.

When eating alone they enter the central nervous system in higher than normal concentrations. This may cause an abnormal firing of neurons and potential cell death.

Alone, phenylalanine and aspartic acid are considered excitotoxins, which stimulate the generation of free radicals. Free radicals are unstable molecules that can damage cell structures. Some free radical production is normal, for example free radicals are made during energy production.

The problem though is that chemicals in our environment can also create free radicals. Overexposure to free radicals speeds up the aging process.

Aspartame is but one toxic chemical that we can avoid to protect cellular health.

This is important because the ova (egg) and s***m are single cells. In fact, the entire human body is made up of about 100 trillion cells. In order to sustain health of cells, avoiding anything that creates the formation of free radicals in the body is imperative to reproductive health.

2. Potential Damage to DNA

DNA is the genetic code within each cell. Both the ova and s***m pass this genetic code on to offspring. Research has pointed to the potential of aspartame damaging the DNA within cells.

Aspartame is temperature sensitive. When exposed to temperatures above 86 degrees fahrenheit or stored long-term, phenylalanine converts into diketopiperazine (DKP), which is a known carcinogen. On top of that, 10% of aspartame is absorbed into the blood as methanol.)
The scary truth though is that a one-liter diet soda typically contains 56 milligrams of methanol. This is eight times the EPA ( Environmental Protection Agency which is 7.8 milligrams) suggested safety limit.
When kept at cold temperatures, methanol will convert to formaldehyde. Studies have shown that formaldehyde formation resulting from aspartame ingestion accumulates in cells, then interferes with DNA replication.

3. Developing Babies are Easily Impacted

Aspartame can be passed easily to a developing fetus and baby through the placenta especially during the first 12 weeks of life, in which case the blood brain barrier is forming and has not completely formed.

Blood brain barrier is a specialized system comprised of high-density cells that restrict the passage of certain substances, like toxins, from the bloodstream. This protects the brain from harmful substances.

Aspartame also can be passed to the baby through breast milk.

Prior to birth, the placenta concentrates the amount of amino acids passed to the fetus. This means that the levels of phenylalanine and aspartic acid in the fetal blood will be four to six times greater than the levels in the mother. These levels run the risk of potential birth defects.

Other studies have shown that infants are four times more sensitive to excitotoxins, which aspartame is.

4. Aspartame Affects Insulin Levels

Some studies point to phenylalanine and aspartic acid actually stimulating insulin release. These strong and rapid spikes in insulin remove glucose from the bloodstream and signal the body to store it as fat. The result is hypoglycemia and sugar cravings. This may cause weight gain over time.

Now you can see that aspartame doesn't help overweight people loose weight.

Any quick, consistent, daily changes to insulin levels is dangerous, especially for overweight-obese people, women with PCOS or those with diabetes.

Stevia would be a much better option as a no calorie sugar substitute. Be sure the stevia you consider purchasing is pure and organic!

5. Aspartame is NOT Food

Stevia is an excellent aspartame alternative. Zero calories and just as sweet, but all natural!

One of the most important things to consider when trying to get pregnant is what you put into your body.

Each food you put in your mouth is not only making up your body, but is going to help develop your child. Even before a child exists, the egg and s***m do.

What a person eats daily impacts the health of those eggs and s***m. Consuming a variety of man-made chemical additives may be damaging to the health of your body and that of your future children.

I am not suggesting anyone go out and choose to consume a ton of sugar instead, or even choose another artificial sweetener.
To put this in perspective, it is probably just as damaging, to consume a cup of sugar than it is to consume a soda with aspartame.
