Diagnostic Error in Patient With Hypertension (High Blood Pressure)
Hypertension is a “SILENT KILLER”. It is a common dangerous condition that majority of people both young and old can have for many years without knowing it, and can lead to various health problems especially heart related problems. Even without any sign or symptoms, damage to your blood vessels and heart continues.
Hypertension is one of the leading causes of cardiovascular disease, including heart failure, heart attack, stroke, cardiomyopathy, coronary artery disease, pericardial disease and many others. Keeping your blood pressure under control is very important for preserving your health and to reducing the risk of potential effect of these dangerous conditions.
Now the BIG question is: How could patients who judiciously took their BP medications and maintained their blood pressure level still slump and die, some of these patients check their blood pressure regularly, they were also strictly on diet and exercise, they heeded to every advice giving to them by their health care providers yet they slumped and died. How do you explain that?
Well one of the main reasons people slump and die is cardiac arrest or heart attack, but they don’t just happen; they happen as a result of other heart disease that were not detected on time or were never detected at all, like Myocardial infarction, Rheumatic heart disease, Subaortal Stenosis, Hypertensive Heart Disease, Heart defect, etc.
