The Mystery of Ovarian Aging & Menopause:
Did you know that human ovaries age twice as fast as the rest of the body? Scientists still don’t fully understand why! Menopause is another mystery—we share it with only five species of whales and no other mammals.

Research suggests that the ovaries might produce undiscovered hormones and have a deeper connection with the brain than we realize. This "ovary-brain conversation" could impact memory, mood, and overall organ function, but much of it remains unknown.

One thing is clear: early menopause (before 45) increases the risk of heart disease and shorter lifespan. Plus, removing ovaries before 50 *without* hormone therapy may raise the risk of early death.
