Satan[1] was against the Israelites. He encouraged David to count the Israelites.

When Satan wants to push you against God's commandments, please use your brain to say NO because Satan won't be there when your punishment shall come from God.

1 Chronicles 21:14 ERV
So the LORD sent terrible sicknesses to Israel, and 70,000 people died.

If God will not spare King David and the children of Israel, then you will be greatly punished for saying YES to Satan's suggestion.

David said to God, “I am the one who sinned. I gave the order for the people to be counted! I was wrong. The Israelites did not do anything wrong. LORD my God, punish me and my family, but stop the terrible sicknesses that are killing your people.”

The finger that sin against God deliberately shall be cut off. (Think twice Satan who led you to sin won't take your punishment for you).

Are you sure God promise you that?

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Mark 11:24 KJV

* Only the things God has not promised in His word will not come to pass because His Word did not cover them.

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3 John 1:2 KJV

* When a person go out of God's will to ask for his or her own selfish interest, it does not come to pass.

So is my word that comes from my mouth; it does not return to me empty. Instead, it does what I want, and accomplishes what I intend. Isai 55:11 CEB

* Our God is so faithful that not a single word spoken out of His mouth will not come to pass because;

"God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Numbers 23:19 KJV"

* Only Sinners can not claim God's promises because they continue to disobey God.
