According to WHO, Cervical cancer is the most common cancer in women and when diagnosed early it is one of the most successfully treatable forms of cancer, as long as it is managed effectively.

At Regis and Reina, we advise women above 21 to check every 2 years and once 35 to schedule every other year. If after consistent checks, your result has always been negative, you can then reduce the pace of your checks and have one scheduled every 3 to 4 years.

To prepare for Pap test, please ensure you:
- Book an appointment for the test
- Inform the Doctor about all medicines you are on; including the birth control as they may affect your test result
- Please mention if you have had an abnormal pap result earlier
- Ensure you are not on your period as that might affect result accuracy
- Avoid in*******se and tampons use 24hrs before taking your test
- Avoid any va**nal medicines before the test.

Fabric facemask should have 3 layers:

- An Outer Layer – This should be made of materials that can repel droplet or moisture e.g. Synthetic Materials like polyester or polyester cotton blend.

- Inner Layer - This should be made of materials that easily absorbs e.g. Cotton material, preferably white so you can easily know when it is dirty or wet.

- Middle Layer – this serves as filter, can be inserted and can be another fabric layer.

Check your face mask today. Does it have the 3 layers approved by WHO?

Does your Va**na smell? By smell, we mean does it stink?

Sis, it’s time to take that situation serious!

Fact is, the va**na is home to billions of bacteria whose precise combination changes on a daily, or even an hourly basis sometimes. Every va**na has its healthy odor which differs for every woman. A healthy scent could be described as a mild musky or fleshy smell, although your menstrual cycle and in*******se can change the smell for a while.

Strong odor, itching and strange discharges with pungent smell are a major cause of concern and can be as a result of so many things.

Also, symptoms like greenish /yellowish discharge, sudden painful s*x, bleeding after douching or in*******se (especially if it wasn’t a rough one), experiencing pelvic pain or problems with your bowel are reasons to book an appointment with your gynecologist.

Why not stop self-medicating.

Today is a perfect time to send us a private chat, call or visit us at no 41 Industrial Avenue, Sabo, Yaba, Lagos to get the whole situation sorted with an expert.

You will be relieved you did!

With some of us, one of our favorite guilty pleasure is the Maury Show’s paternity tests episodes. Talk about drama!

We bet a lot of people don’t know the difference between DNA Testing and Paternity DNA testing. Let’s briefly share a summary.

DNA tests is quiet generic and it involves extracting DNA of individuals from samples like Blood, Saliva, hair etc. Usually, DNA test could be used to confirm genetic similarities, confirm tendency to genetic defect, mutation or even diseases as well as confirming a child’s paternity.

Paternity testing on the other hand is strictly used to confirm biological relationship between a presupposed father and a child. Also, they are usually required for Visa and immigration application, Legal instruction in a will, Adoption, Establishing paternity in surrogacy and IVF pregnancies to name a few.

For all your DNA Test enquiries, send a direct message, call or visit us at 41 Industrial Avenue, Sabo, Yaba, Lagos.
