Yesterday, we commemorated🦟 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗼 𝗗𝗮𝘆 – 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟬 and the progress we have made in defeating malaria.

In Nigeria, mosquitoes are more than an everyday nuisance - they are a deadly threat.

According to the World Health Organization, Nigeria accounts for about 27% of global malaria cases and 31% of global malaria deaths.

Every year, millions of Nigerians, especially children under 5 and pregnant women, are at risk of this preventable disease. The economic cost is also staggering, as malaria contributes to lost productivity, school absenteeism, and increased healthcare spending.

On this World Mosquito Day, let us remember:
✔️ Sleeping under insecticide-treated nets
✔️ Eliminating stagnant water
✔️ Early testing and treatment

These simple steps can save countless lives. Together, we can reduce the burden of malaria in Nigeria and beyond.
