1️⃣ First Trimester (Weeks 1–12)
Begins from conception.
The baby’s major organs start forming — heart, brain, and spine.
Common symptoms: morning sickness, fatigue, and breast tenderness.
The most delicate stage of development.
2️⃣ Second Trimester (Weeks 13–26)
The baby starts moving and growing rapidly.
Organs develop further; the heartbeat can be heard.
Mother feels more energetic, and the baby bump becomes visible.
Ultrasound scans are usually done in this period.
3️⃣ Third Trimester (Weeks 27–40)
Baby gains weight and prepares for birth.
Lungs mature and movements become stronger.
The mother may experience back pain, frequent urination, and shortness of breath.
Ends with labor and delivery.
