Ever notice how worry has this sneaky way of hijacking your entire day?
You start thinking about one little thing that might go wrong, and before you know it, your brain has written a full disaster movie script.
Here's what's happening: your mind is doing exactly what it's designed to do - trying to keep you safe by imagining every possible threat.
The problem is, most of these threats aren't real. They're just your mind playing old movies from the past or creating scary stories about the future.
But here's the good news - you can interrupt this pattern using a simple self-hypnosis technique.
The "Reset" Technique:
Next time you catch yourself spiraling into worry, try this:
Stop and breathe deeply - Take 3 slow, deep breaths through your nose
Look up - Literally look up toward the ceiling while keeping your eyes open. This naturally shifts your brain into a more relaxed state
Ask yourself: "Is this thought helping me solve something right now, or is it just making me feel worse?"
If it's not helpful, simply acknowledge it: "This is just my mind trying to protect me, but I don't need this worry right now."
Replace it with something concrete: "What's one small thing I can actually do about this situation today?"
The magic isn't in the technique itself - it's in the fact that you're taking conscious control of your mind instead of letting it run wild.
Remember: you're not trying to never worry again (that's impossible). You're just practicing being the director of your own mental movie instead of a helpless audience member.
Try this today and notice how it feels to have that power back.
Subsequently, I'll share how to use your mind's natural programming to overcome that frustrating feeling of being "stuck" or unmotivated.
Remember, this does not replace prayers.
