Cholesterol is essential to life. All animals and human beings need cholesterol to build cell walls and membranes. Cholesterol is only a problem when there is an excessive amount in the bloodstream.
High cholesterol despite its damaging effect to the body has no warning signs. It is therefore essential to have regular blood tests if you have any of the pre-disposing factors;

An average person’s Blood cholesterol level fluctuates by ±10%. It is therefore sensible to establish your cholesterol level by multiple cholesterol tests.

1st of December has been observed worldwide as the World AIDS Day. This day is dedicated to raising awareness to the HIV/AIDS cause, to commemorate those who have died from this pandemic and to celebrate key achievements to the fight against this disease.

Despite the level of awareness and impressive result recorded world wide, it is quite unfortunate that Nigeria on the contrary has recorded an estimated increase of over 60 percent new infections, exceeding India in the HIV burden. Second only to South Africa which has 5.6 million people living with HIV, Nigeria has 3.1 million people living with HIV
