DERMATOMES OF THE UPPER LIMB
A Dermatome is the area of the skin supplied by single spinal nerve.
The skin of the upper limb has a regular segmental nerve supply, the fourth cervical segment to the second thoracic segment and is arranged as:
C4 - skin over the shoulder tip
C5 - lateral side of upper arm
C6 - lateral side of fore arm
C7 - skin of the hand
C8 - medial side of the forearm
T1 - medial side of arm
T2 - skin of axilla.
