ULCER
🔘 Dissecting and Understanding Ulcer
An Ulcer is basically an open sore. It can pop up on many parts of the body —Skin, mouth, eyelid, genitals— but the ones we're going to address are the Peptic kind that infiltrate the digestive tract. The most common types occur in the first part of the small intestine, called the duodenum, and the stomach.
These areas are bathed in enzymes and stomach acid, which serve to aggravate the situation when protective mucus thins and the underlying tissue is open to injury. Kind of like putting salt in a wound. Other vulnerable areas are the esophagus and further down the small intestine.
Some ulcers are silent and don't cause problems until something more dramatic develops, like bleeding. Others cause a burning, aching, soreness or biting-like pain that's steady and confined to one spot. Some ulcers feel better after eating, drinking milk, or taking antacids. Others might awaken you in the middle of the night with pain. Occasionally the pain disappears on its own, only to return.
🔘 Causes of Ulcer
No longer do we point finger at stress as the cause of ulcer, there's evidence that food allergies and nutritional problems may also be responsible, stress does make ulcer worst than not eating early. Prolong intake of analgesics like ibuprofen etc might imbalance your stomach acidity thereby thinning ones protective walls making it exposed to bacterial activities.
A bacteria called H. pylori (Helicobacter) not "helicopter" oh 🙄, is most likely behind many people's ulcers. it was estimated that 70% of gastric (stomach) ulcers and 90% of peptic ulcers were caused by this bug.
🔘 Self Therapy to reduce your ulcer if already living one:
If you've had ulcer before or the digestive tract is your weakness, be cautious about your diet, stress level, and other factors that invite ulcers. Suggestions are highlighted in the next paragraph.
🔘 What to avoid and do when living with ulcer:
•Avoid excess intake of alcohol and caffeine
• Reduce spice, though after healing it will be advisable to eat spices because of its preventive and healing power
• Reduce saturated fats (meat and some dairy)
• Reduce acid
• eat bananas
• eat cabbage...
I will stop here for the day.
🔊 Before I go lemme drop some hints according to Lauri Aesoph Therapy: she uses cabbage, comfery, Calendula and licorice to improve fast healing, you are familiar with cabbage and licorice right? yeah those two will do...
According to Dr Sodhi who i sometimes follow his work, recommends half teaspoon of licorice powder x3 a day will help.
While I employ a very unique and different form of therapy for Ulcer, I agreed that research done on ulcer by scientists and shared secrets by experienced Herbal practitioners like me had been very helpful in my method of treating and mitigating ulcer...
I'm sure this piece is very helpfu?...
