Tadalafil is the generic name for a drug also sold under the brand name Cialis.
It is a phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5) inhibitor used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), also known as an enlarged prostate.
The usual dose for benign prostate enlargement is 5mg, taken once a day.
Tadalafil can also be used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).
