Last Saturday, we held our 2025 Customer and Transporter Awards, where we celebrated the kings and queens of our market. It was a night of outstanding awards reflecting our appreciation for the commitment and loyalty of our patners in progress.

Elder Ubong Bassey Obot of Ubotex Nigeria Limited emerged the National Volume Champion and was awarded with a 2026 Toyota Land Cruiser, Igwe
Cosmas Ezeumeh Chizoba of C.C. Umeh and Sons Limited secured the title of first runner up and was awarded a 2026 Toyota Prado, while Chief Etim Effiong Okon of Batoframoje Enterprises emerged second runner-up and won a 2026 Toyota Fortuner.

The transporter of the year, B.I.G MultiQuest Nigeria Limited was also awarded a 2026 Toyota Hilux and a range of other top tier vehicles, generating sets, solar inverters, TV, deep freezers among others were awarded to regional champions.

We also had the presence of distinguished guests including; the Honorable Commissioner of Housing Lagos state, Hon Moruf, Akinderu Fatai, the Honorable Commissioner for Women Affairs, Cross River state, members of the Lafarge board, Mrs Adenike Ogunlesi (Independent Non-Executive Director), Mrs Olusola Oworu (Independent Non-Executive Director), and Mrs Elenda Osima-Dokubo(Non-Executive Director), Kate Henshaw, MFR and other key stakeholders.

Beyond buildings and infrastructure, we remain committed to recognizing dedication, service, and excellence, celebrating the individuals and partners whose passion continues to drive our mandate forward.

From the 29th to the 30th of January, we held the third edition of the Lafarge Africa Leadership Conference, an annual meeting that sets the tone and charts the course of our direction for the year.

With this year’s theme: 'Driving Exponential Growth through Discipline and Ex*****on,' we had senior leaders across the organization come together to align on key priorities for the year and leadership alignment around disciplined ex*****on and ownership.

The CEO, Lolu Alade-Akinyemi thanked the team for the successes recorded in 2025 and took them on a journey that captured the vision and expectations of the organization for the year.

We gleaned valuable insights from our Keynote Speaker, the highly esteemed Chairman of Lafarge Africa Plc, Mr Gbenga Oyebode MFR, who spoke about the importance of sustaining excellence under extreme targets.
